Maybe this one will be more of a Dungeon Keeper than the first one because it was nothing like it, apart from a similar setting. I was very disappointed when I played the demo/isodemo (can't even remember what that was)

The fact that it's IGN that says "this is the DK2 remake that we were looking for" isn't exactly reassuring.  Really hope it's an improvement over the first one, even if I don't like the new style, it looks like one of those free to play games that I usually avoid like the plague.

Looks about a 1000 times more polished than War for the Overworld, that's a good thing.
But i am worried about the lack of units, only seems like the horde faction got about 5? Thats pathetic.

i fear that's the only good thing about it especially when first one was pretty horrible and for example that RTS part seems so out of place to me. WtFo nailed the gameplay lacks polish (bu they are working on that pretty hard) , this one seems to have nailed the polish , but the gameplay doesn't seem right from what i saw :-/

- game starts in a small window -> close and restart or Alt-Enter
- crashes when you hit ESC or click around in loading screens (the
shrek scroll) -> don't click around and be patient
- when trying to skip intros/cutscenes use ESC - other keys sometimes
crash the game ..
There are certainly more gamebugs, but we don't want to
list them all 
General Notes:
- Block the game's exe in your firewall to prevent the game from
trying to go online ..
- If you install games to your systemdrive, it may be necessary
to run this game with admin privileges instead

no it's not, it's polished, not one bug in 5 hours, except fps drop later in mission, but it's playable

Simple, but pretty enjoyable game.
Devs on forum says that this is an old version, and saves will not be compatible with the release later today, so am holding off playing anymore

Played the first 3 missions and i like it so far!
But two things are bad IMO:
- You can't pick up creatures from the top bar? Always have to search for them and pick them up manually
- Only 5 unit types, meh (workers + 4 other types)

Game is funny. Definitely better than previous dungeons. I like it better than war for the overworld.
My specs:
Ryzen 5950x @ boosting 5ghz, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master, 128gb G.Skill Trident Neo pc3600 ram, nVidia RTX 5080, SoundBlasterX G6, Samsung 980 Pro m.2 1TB and Hynix m.2 1TB storage SSD. Custom watercooling loop.

Was too curious and played the ISO (along with the mandatory update) after dinner, the game seems decent indeed. More varied and less annoying/repetitive than Dungeon I for sure, that goes without saying.
The interface could need some work, and the campaign so far is a walk in the park, also I'm not sure I like the Warcraft-like sessions outside, but overall it's better than I expected. It's not exactly DK because the formula deviates quite a bit, though I like the narrator and his corny jokes, as well as the art-style, one of my concerns (it's cartoonish but not as much as I feared).

The performance is pretty inconsistent for me too (970). Huge drops in the first mission, then constant 60fps during the underworld dungeon sessions, and many drops again when exploring the colorful lands with ponies.

You will get to play them after about 5 horde missions.
