Hola thingy seems to work for all games in their catalogue. Ex. POE Royal Edition 30$ instead of 80€ or 15$ for the regular version. Wonder how long until they close that loophole?

Guess it depends on how much this spreads but they'll probably discover it eventually and there's also the amount of purchases done as for CD Project I guess it's pretty easy for them to notice when the amount of transactions spike as people from all over the world are using this method. Very Happy
(Not really sure if they could cancel the purchase but I suppose they could but I'm not sure how often that happens as with for example Origin India and Mexico this has been happening for a long time now but I don't think EA has taken any action against it besides perhaps increasing prices a bit.)

They DOWNGRADED the game, it's only fitting we DOWNGRADE our payments. Cool Face

That said, 20$ on GOG is probably still more revenue for CDP than twice the amount on steam or retail, or no revenue at all if people pirate it.

Bad news IMHO. I find it unlikely that there's enough original / interesting material to fill 200 hours of gameplay. I fear a plethora of mmo-ish fetch quests to fill the hours. I would've preferred 50hrs of satisfying narrative and meaningful side quests.

No one force you do every single shit from game, rush it through the story if that's your thing. There isn't anything bad in this, if there's enough content to fill around 200h so be it.

iirc i saw some different tweet from CDP saying the main quest is 50h which you can extend it to 200 with side content Very Happy

also love this answer to if its better to play on xbone or PC in mimimum

Read a preview on an italian website this morning, they said they tried both Xbone and PC version, and PC looked noticeably better, not only resolution-wise but some of the textures and particle effects as well. And the devs there said PC version wasn't running with all options maxed out either.

It wouldn't surprise me if CD Projekt was bending the truth when they said all versions would use the same assets. Probably just marketing speak to get more console customers who don't want to feel second class.

Don't forget they have a deal with Microsoft for an exclusive xbone edition. So yeah, I take this whole 'all versions are equal' thing with a big grain of salt.

According to the previews of people who played the game the XBONE version runs and looks like ass compared even to the PS4 let alone the PC version..

Lol, a few pages back everyone was screaming "graphics have been downgraded to console standards so console peasants don't feel bad! The managing director said it will look the same on all platforms, and obviously he tells the truth, you guys that think otherwise are gullible idiots!!"

Now that more and more people that tried the game tell a different story everyone is like "Yeah, obviously the managing director was lying to appease console peasants, but it was clear all along that it would be much better on PC, no doubts about it, master race ftw!!"
