griffon and chinup, enough out of you two... you made your points now stop coming on this thread... and no this is not a matter of free speech here, you said your part and derailed the thread far enough...
let say for the sake of arguement that this is REALLY a scam, and that he is so poor that he need our few bux to to go through all this trouble for.... if not anything, this scam has brought attenttion to the needy and to a few websites we can use to help kids this new years... so calm the hell down, stop bashing and assuming thing, stop making fights and stay the hell out of this thread.
if you don't trust him, good for you, go to amazon.com or sickkidsfoundations.com and do it yourself and feel good about...

There are alot of causes but kids wanting PS2-games comes like last on my list. I'd rather donate 50$ to a family in africa so they can get food and water for three fucking months rather than give some kid in toronto a new PS2-game. I know it's lame to compare suffering but when it comes to giving suffering people GAMES i think it's gone over to the convenient side of suffering.

Theres wishlist on amazon.ca that sick kids in a toronto hospital ( doesent need to be a toronto hospital, we can choose an other if we want to) has put togheter. They want books and some computer/ps2 games and stuff like that.
I was thinking that i would contact amozon and se if they would match us dollar for dollar, so if we get like $500 they will put up $500 and so on. The books will go directly from amazon to the hospital without any middlehands or things like that.
There are sick kids all over the world so it doesent really mather wich hospital we choose, a kid with cancer is a kid with cancer nomather where he/she lives if you know what i mean.
Anybody interested in putting something like this togheter?
Edit: For those of you that rather spend money on drugs an shit, please do so but dont share it in this thread since it isnt about you. |
I followed your idea that I found great. I just buy a book for some sick kids in that hospital... Great idea!

Feel free to choose any hospital you like! Donate your money to any charity in the world you like. This was the one i was going for since it would be easy for us to do a joint effort so to speake, if we all donated to the same charity:

yup, child's play is a cool thing, especially since its been started by the penny-arcadians, so every penny that gets there will also fuck up jack thompson's mood

charity is lame. its like giving some left overs, while keeping all the goodies for yourself.
obviously invented by some rich @ss, so he would feel better about himself.

I'm not rich at all... i'm way down below the middle class... but giving money to the homeless also helping them out with an occasional mickey d's meal it makes me feel better. But not about myself A genuine happy feeling runs through me and it's so very much additctive... makes you want to give give and give
