From what I can tell, not worth a try! Maybe someone can convince us otherwise?

I would wait, ever since Sony sold them im having doubts, so far base building is broken or worthless, some quirks and bugs that make people have advantages and the loot needs balance i think.

more stupid remarks about a game
the base building is a concept in the game right now, always been told that along with the facts you have mentioned its not worth it IF you want to keep shit always safe. Its not viable for full release type gameplay using the buildings although at least people have them and can see how they will operate and be built with crafting resources.
some bugs <~<~ looool of course there is bugs the games not even in beta 1 stage.
loot needs balance <~<~ looool of course it needs balancing, hence why there has been consistent loot balance patches being undertaken to keep progressing till its actually working as intended.
People have advantages <~<~ loool heaven forbid
p.s played most the day through other menial house chores, its been a blast trying to get the better of two seperate german base building teams. Better than a night out in a bar hand in dick for most you younglins hoping for a score.

You shouldn't be too worried because Sony sold them... SOE was quite an entity on their own for a long while, it was shown quite a few times in history that Sony didn't care much for that department other than: restricting them to only develop for pc and playstation and the money it brought in.
So in short term nothing will happen, we'll see if in the long term the investors are greedy cunts (most likely) but that will take an effect a year later + implementation of their greedyness would take another 6 months so by then most have moved on anyway.

Oh boy, better not give an opinion. Dem Knights are serious.
When talking about the worth of an early access game i still think those 20 bucks could, right now, buy you something that would be better, i stopped playing it, will get better with patches.

Well, what do you want to hear? The only thing it has going for it, for me personally, is it's superior netcode and performance compared to anything on the ArmA engines.
Besides that, it's pretty much suffering from as many problems as the DayZ mods and SA.
I don't think it's worth the 20 bucks in it's current state. But I'm sure it will be later down the line while still being in EA.

its not about being any white knight its about at least bothering to realise what you wrote was just uncalled for. The state of the game is the state of the game due to its release position right? So if its a rant say it like a rant not bashing a game when its hardly out the starting gate
If its still the same in 6mnths to a year then yes bash the fuck away I will even join in but till then one should not spout such trash its like I was on mmorpg.com by mistake when I read the post

Battle royale is worth it. already got like 60-70 hours of it.
the base game imo, is not worth it yet. they still haven't found a proper way to configure loot, bases are not worth it, etc.
So if you enjoy open map pvp with cars and impending toxic gas+ a chance to acquire pay2win items for free, then it's definitely worth grabbing.
160+ people in one game, fighting on an ever shrinking map until only 1 is left standing.
its the only mp game i've enjoyed since l4d2 and dayz mod beginning days.
if you are after the base game survival experience+ building, better wait till they improve it a bit.

Are you willing to pay to be a beta tester for something that will be free to play on release?
Keep that in mind when deciding. ^_^

+1
its worth the Ea price for battle royale alone, started with 5 tickets and I now have 25 from finishing top 10 a few times.

yes all those carry over, its just cosmetics, except for the airdrop tickets, the only thing people could call pay 2 win, but they come with drawbacks, and they're really just a a way to scam noobs out of their money. sure, you can argue they are pay to win, but without playing them and actually seeing how they work, you won't be convinced they're far from p2w.
out of all 10 air drops, 2 can drop weapons, and both have a 10% chance of dropping and come with 2 full clips.
event tickets will be used to play battle royale, they can be purchased, won in battle royale, found in loser baggies in battle royale, and found as loot in the base game. these are pay 2 play I guess, certainly not p2w.
even the airdrop tickets can be got from loser baggies in BR. got 3 so far that way.

from the stuff i opened up, the good stuff I use is the dark green and camo items, because they work nice in battle royale end game, helps to blend in with the foliage once everything goes dark and green
most i'm keeping as atm there's not that many items, so it would be lots of duplicates. already got a ton of duplicates from the loser baggies.

The lighting is great at night, but in the day time it's so damn bright it feels like it's at the height of summer at 1pm in the afternoon while walking on a glass surface!
It's also laggy as fook compared to previously, in the towns
