Say what you want about the theme/message of the game, but I'll play it just because it's a chance to play a mindless shooter with no extra bullshit.
Too many shooters nowadays are bloated mutant hybrids that NEED TO HAVE a shitton of extra stuff like rpg elements, sandbox gameplay, stealth mechanics, moral choices, vehicle sections and mini-games. The good old "simple mindless violence" genre of shooter seems to be dead... ffs, even Croteam turned to puzzle games (don't get me wrong, I loved TTP, but where's SS4?).
I do love a game with a strong narrative, but sometimes I just want to switch off my brain and blow shit up

I really don't blame him for asking it tho especially since 90% of developers fail to hit the intended release date nowadays.
