Sure, game has a lot of choices.
Not so many consequences, exempt subtle ones.

The best thing in plot of this game is how it interacts with the lore from this and previous games. Especially the previous games. As a standalone it would be worse. Also good ending cliffhanger done right.
Finished it in 91 hours did all quests. Game is good 8/10. Though you can really skip the sidequest if you are bored with them and don't loose too much.
I don't see myself replaying it though. Watched different endings and romances on youtube and that's it.

It boggles my mind so many people liked it and actually put 90 hours in it.
I really must have missed the "depth" of this game...

It has as much "decisions = consequences" as any other Bioware game, i.e. none at all.

North east in the area before the dragon are a few obsidian deposits, and some more in the last area after you defeat the dragon.

Got it, I'm a bit under-level now, so might wait to make that requisition. Thank you.

Just run around and survive in the area before the dragon. Avoid the mobs, and you can easily get 2 deposits over and over. It's a nice ore to use for weapons this early if you just take your time.

I killed off Wrex in ME 1. He was gone for the next two games. Talk about no consequence.
They're also the ones that introduced story choices transferring through multiple titles afaik. Having poor decision/consequence system is the last thing I would accuse Bioware of, it's what they're best at, even if DAI was disappointing on that front.

It seems people basically want to be able to play 15 different games in one. Obviously consequences have to be limited or else you'll see a 10 year development time.

He is replaced with Wreav, with basically zero consequence for ME2 and minimal consequence for ME3. Killing Wrex in ME1 is a perfect example of Biowarian illusion of choice. The story continues on its linear path regardless of your choices or actions. They do the same thing for a number of other characters in ME3, like Mordin and Tali, and lo and behold, the exact same thing again in Inquisition with the warden contact.

There is no practical way of making meaningful choices work even within one game, let alone over several games.

Illusion of choice is fine for me... it's like with the keep. I'm sure that gameplay-wise (and mainstory-wise), nothing would change if I never used the keep... but from a purely subjective perspective, I would enjoy the game much less if I did not see my choices for the world transfer over to DA:I. I probably wouldn't even play it then, due to the perceived conflicts between what happened in my "game-world" from previous titles and the "game-world" of DA:I".

Holyshit, these are some real consequences. Like, completely optional, missable episodic role of Hawke or Alistair or Loghain in case with Warden's quest.
Damn son, these are some impressive consequences.

Completely agree, DAI is lacking as I said in my post, in the bit you decided not to quote. Your point?

A working Save Editor is available at RIN , you can edit :
- Plots/World-state (Still not easy to do since plots names are not displayed, so don't mess wth it)
- Companion approval
- Gold value
- Number of rifts closed
- Class
- Genrer
- Race
- Character appearence (Character face file need to be exported, modified then imported)

Some of those edits are still not well working/understood. Changing race for instance will immediately reset itself.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

No. It needs a new crack.

Is there a chest in this game? (So I could put some items into it and keep them for later on, thus avoiding a total fucking mess in my inventory.)

I'm not sure how long the re-purchase option stores items but that's the only way to keep stuff although I find it better to just dismantle unique weapons and armor and then sell what remains since crafted gear is usually stronger.

Nope.
To be honest, there is pretty much nothing worth keeping, in terms of stuff that actually takes up space (i.e. weapons/armour/accessories). Either equip it or vendor trash it.

You can take the arms/legs out of armour and hilt/shaft/etc. out of weapons at the appropriate crafting table.

Oh, of that I already knew. I thought that you could shred the items into pieces and make something useful out of it.

Better yet, if you found a good looking item, let you reforge it with better stats.
