Why not? Due to price or other reasons? I myself do not like this for factor, but I don't like it in general. I much prefer a NUC with the added thermal headroom, performance and aesthetics.

Performance advantages aside, no one who is currently in the Rasbpi userbase will even remotely consider the Intel Stick, IMHO. |
x86 man, x86... This is like the perfect "HTPC" for me atleast, gonna get one instantly when they are available.

Yes, but the linux version will have a 1GB memory and a slower/weaker CPU. The price difference is not just for the Windows license.

This is more for your average office environment than anything else. $149 for a system that's fast enough for what 90% of the world does with it, in a form factor that is even better than most thin clients - and it includes a Windows license? Pretty damn good.

What? How does it have functionality than a full blown x86 computer?

It's basically just a HDMI "stick" version of the tiny PC I posted in the NUC thread. The Guleek i8 with 2GB RAM and the iPC002 with 2GB RAM.

This one has microSD expansion slot, does the i8 has one too? And for that matter, do the cheap tablets have one too? If so, I don't see why you can't expand the C drive to be a lot bigger with a card, which is the main complaint people have of these devices, and here there is a microSD slot.

Yes, the i8 does, same with the iPC002.
