Short version: I have an ssd in my pc which looks to be empty (windows wants to format it) but I am sure that there should be data on it (which is quite important for me). Is there any way to recover the data?
Long version: If have a Symantec PGP encrypted 120GB Samsung EVO 840 in my work laptop. It worked fine until last week when suddenly windows would not accept my login credentials anymore. (I could get past the usual PGP password stuff before).
I went into the F8 menu and the system recovery tools which enabled the console for me. With "net user" I tried to fetch all users but the command only returned "Administrator" & "Guest" and an error message. I tried to create a new user with the same credentials as before, didn't work. I tried to activate the administrator account, didn't work either. I tried basically anything, I just couldn't log back into windows. So I selected auto fix in the windows options but that ended after 3 minutes with an error and in the details I could see that there was apparently a problem with the master boot record. So as the idiot that I am I just executed bootrec.exe /fixmbr ... totally forgetting about the PGP bootloader! I reboot and am welcomed by a dark screen. Fuck, I made a terrible mistake.
Today I was able to get ahold of a second computer (computer services at our company suck dick, they were good for nothing, I did everything by myself) with pgp desktop and I was able to fix the pgp bootloader. I then proceeded to recover my data but windows was still borked. So I left for a moment and this guy went to attach a cd drive to my pc so that he can run some diagnostic CD and he turned my laptop 90 degree for that. When he turned it back I could see that the hdd moved out of it's position... while the pc was running... After that it was not recognized by windows until a restart. Well fuck me, I let that guy on my machine for a second and I think he fucked up the drive by just turning around the pc without locking the hdd in place 
Now windows recognized the drive but says 0 byte all over. I guess data can't be overwritten that fast, so I assume there might be a chance for me to fix this fucking mess.

IsoBuster used to work rather well if im not mistaken

I don't have access to a linux machine/live cd right now 
isobuster is running right now but it seems as if it does not recover the names of the files o_O

completely encrytped ssd? chances are low to nothing to get something back.
if the files were readable without entering passwort (i.e. every file single encrypted) put the ssd into another pc/external usb case and use r-studio. using that since ages and could recover almost everything which was not overwritten

I was able to de-crypt the pgp encrypted drive on the second computer.

meh isobuster wants a key and only says found file but it doesn't extract it, because it needs a valid key and I'm not going to buy that

Exactly, I can't get myself that sweet pirated software I found testdisk and boy, it does wonders! I was already able to recover full parts of my lotus/ibm notes installation and with the full folder & file structure! It apparently can also repair the mbr and filesystem of a drive which doesn't have any filesystem information or master boot record left  fucking awesome and it's free!
But first I will try to recover as much of the important stuff as possible and then I'll try to recover the mbr and filesystem:)
bah I just see it's stuck on my 2GB mail archive file :/ :'(

I managed to recover a 500 gig harddrive with Recuva, try it.

I know it's kinda late for a reply, but one of the guys at my work that does our data recovery recommended "Ontrack EasyRecovery". I got it for a friend of mine a while back and he was able to recover his data when his RAID config went out on him. Maybe it can help you as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, but Testdisk was the solution I was looking for, after fixing the MBR of PGP 
Today I'll sit down with our Windows guru in the office and hope that he'll have a solution how to fix my windows without reinstalling it :/
