Hey guys

I know there are some tech savvy users on the hump, perhaps you can shed some light on an issue

Couple of days ago my partner mentioned that she could hear the pc rebooting every so often in the morning, I went in and the comp rebooted. N
Then it wouldnt post but the results vary.

I, ll skip the hours and hours of checks and checking cables and cut tot he chase. I have the mobo breadboaded, outof the case with only the psu, cpu and ram plugged in.

This is where is gets wierd, most of the time the pc will power on for a split second then restart, this will loop untill I pull the power. If I remove the memory it will either do the aboveor it will beep around 17 times for 30 seconds or so then restart and repeat.

Replacing the ram will then either cause the above OR the comp WILL beep then like its posting then immediatly shut down, this will then also loop

Things ive tried;
checked all connectors
Seating and reseated everything
Replaced heatsink thermal pase on cpu
Shorted the psu and it will stay on using this method

I tried to test the psu with some kind of meter but the one im using is wierd and I cantmake hear ortail of it. Its wont paste on my tab but google eagle y102b its the top chinese link and has pictures

Any help appreciated humpers.

shortening psu i assume you meant running it without any stress as in just powering it without mobo, which won't show how stable it is in reality
i suggest not to use this psu any longer and get a replacement before rest of the components checked out

Have you reset the cmos?

Yes several times

With all componants plugged in the comp runs ie: all fans and lights turn on but I get no post beep and after about 30 seconds it restarts the process.
