Best song in game for me was their variant of "Star of the County Down".
Oddly enough it wasn't included in any of the official OST's. The High Kings do a cool variant of it (not the live version mind you). It's just so jiggy, always puts a smile on my face.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Damn, I don't think i've heard it ingame. The song is an old ballad set near a town 40 minutes drive away from my house

It plays in Nassau in one of the pubs if you stand there long enough. Apparently there was never any "official" release of the pub songs, just the ambient music and the sea shanties.
Anyway, the games take on it is really nice. There are quite a few other versions of it done by singers (The High Kings, The Celtic Ladies, Billy Walsh, The Orthodox Celts), all very different. I like the game's version the best though!

Does anyone by any chance have savegame from 1.06 patched game with freedom cry, somewhere around I dont know 10-15 hours into the game ? You know not beginning but reaaally deep with main story
Black Flag is finally on (75% off!!!) sale. Is Aveline DLC worth extra money to get Deluxe Edition? Already have standalone Freedom Cry, so no point in getting Season Pass (not interested in multiplayer part of the game).
Not really. The Aveline DLC is extremely short and very straight forward. Just watch it on YT I guess. Freedom Cry is awesome, but since you already have it... yeah...
Isn't Liberation a separate story than that Aveline DLC? Maybe you are confusing it with Freedom Cry which is available in Season Pass and as a standalone?

There is a short, 3-mission spanning addon as a part of AC4 Deluxe Edition running in AC4 engine with its gameplay mechanics. Not to be confused with AC Liberation (HD), that runs on a different engine targeted on mobile platforms (= much more dumbified gameplay).
anyone had a bug in this while on the ship, the image just freezes but sound and hud continue to work fine?
started happening in sequence 2 and happens all the time now while sailing
I finished the game after more than 20h and i had something like 47% so no, that is the global completion %
That Ac creed game is well worth it, i liked it a lot, more than im enjoying unity, best AC game for me since AC II for sure.
If you do everything or at least 70% of it, you will end up somewhere with 40 hours at least..
I found the sidequesting and the naval battles worth it, i felt it was very immersive, and im the kinda of gamer that usualy skips everything related to that when it doesnt interest me, wich is most of the times, beeing a pirate and sailing to explore in that game is bad ass imo.
Black flag was awesome imo, as someone who hated revelations and thought acIII was very average, i loved Black flag, waiting for a at least one more patchbefore i continue unity, but i guess ill have to play it sooner or later..
Ye those 40 hours you can get if you rly stare at stuff like i do, coupled with doing all the side stuff, wich can get repetitive, but with the actual transport beeing a ship and sailing all over the map, to me, it never got boring..
Started playing this today. Starts of pretty good, with actual gameplay, but the classic AC cookie cutter missions seem to pile up now.. free 18 pirates, sail to point a, recruit 18 pirates, and then a tutorial on ship boarding.
ffs let me just play the story, don't spoon feed me easy game mechanics and make do MMO quests
Also, after so many games in the series, i've completely stopped doing side activities and collecting stuff. Its still basically AC II in that regard. Such beautiful locales, but nothing to do in them
Hopefully it picks up again, because the start was very promising, especially the abstergo facility and even the historic portion had quests that felt natural, but they had to resort to filler stuff already. If it wasn't for the cool story and lore, i'd never put up with this kind of gameplay.
On the bright side, am very surprised how good it runs. looks better than ac III and runs a lot better.
Stick with it, do as few of those as possible since u dont seem to like it, but in this game they actualy make sense, but i understand why you might not like those quests.
I myself am replaying it, i played it on ps4 and finished it, im finding the game much better optimized than Unity ofc but still cant seem to max it out to constant 60 fps without turning some stuff off, maybe its my setup?
Wich settings you guys find more intensive in this game?

It gets much worse. Yes, the beginning was great and it looks good, but I was bored out of my mind after Sequence 8 or 9. Eventually I skipped everything and focused only on doing main missions so I could be finally done with it. It's absolutely insane how many eavesdropping and chasing missions you have to do which really shows how pathetic, lazy and shallow the gameplay actually is... The story and characters sucked, too - they didn't even do anything memorable wth it. It's just a huge open world, wasted on doing repetitive boring shit for 30+ hours... Just like DA: I.
After finishing AC4: Black Flag I actually started to hate this shitty series even more.

my gtx 660 can't handle phsyx, it goes into slow mo moments near physx stuff so I disabled that. If i can't use high phsyx, i'd rather not use it at all.
everything else I have maxed+ 2xTXAA, since it looks better in motion than 4xMSAA.
this is at 1680x1050.
I just wish they didn't use the side quest and mini games in the main quest. at least let me sneak around if you can't come up with cool missions. The first feq story missions had sneaking, and were great.
I mean, literally after getting captured, i had to free 18 pirates (was failry decent since it required sneaking, but the whole number thing and the way its set up is very MMO-ish), then i sailed to an island and had to skin 4 animals, then i saled to another island and had to recruit 18 pirates, which was just a series of the same "save the pirate" side quests thrown around the map when your not in story mode, with a short extra scene on the end.
And after that, already 3 chapters into the game, i was off on a boarding ship tutorial. put up a short text video, we aren't retards that need half the game to be a tutorial.
that's like 4 sequences in a row of filler mmo like quests. hopefully sailing will be better, and at least some story missions won't be a collection of side missions/activities.

I already have physics off..just trying to hold steady 60 fps, but im struggling, wich is weird cause i get steady 60 fps on far cry games and BF..
