Completely agree, that fucking ending was so stupid and underwhelming.
That said, I did really enjoy the rest of the game.

The game had good 15h length but the ending was kinda abrupt.
I don't mind there not being a boss but anyway

Like I said I was downloading this on Steam - I purchased it recently - to hopefully finish it this time.
The graphics are ok with the Texture Detail option. It really does help to make the textures appear sharper to the eye.
Sure there is the occasional surface that looks horrible and/or over sharpened/noisy but most of the time it looks acceptable to good as long as you are not deliberately staring the walls so to speak.
From what little I played of Wolfenstein it seems they later made the texture detail trick an internal part of the engine, since I could detect a noise pattern on its surfaces, there isn't an option for it in the menus, and since digital foundry says the PS4/XB1 versions look more or less the same as the PC version, I'd say it's how the engine works now by default (unless you fiddle with cvars etc).
Of course The Evil Within which ditched megatextures does not use this (indeed I didn't detect a noise pattern).
The game has much more important issues than it's graphics anyway. It has several features, mechanics.. but they are so simplistic.. so underutilized.. so pointless.. Would you imagine the best part of an id game would be it's quirky world and charming characters instead of the gameplay?

Ummm... do enemy vehicles ever stop spawning in the Wasteland or will they really keep coming?
I want to explore it 100% to find all sewers, cards, and what have you of places you can go but bandit vehicles keep spawning and make me either damage my vehicle or get low on ammo eventually, so I have to go back to Wellspring.
Sally at the bar keeps telling me to keep doing what I am doing. Will she ever tell me that the area is now clear??

Also I take back my statement about the graphics being ok. They were ok. Until I visited Dead City. They are no longer are ok. They are horrible.  Dat jpeg like compression gone wrong
Curious to see how the rest of the game looks (and plays).
Along with the main game I'm also playing the DLC. I like how it's integrated and I can play each of its missions whenever I want. And the content is good.

I still have to finish the DLC but here you go:
+ The core of the gunfight design is good
+ Charming characters with great voice acting
+ Nice music
+ Nice graphics
- ...from a distance and in motion only
- invisible walls everywhere
- just a single boss fight early in the game
- who cares about the races and the crappy vehicular combat
- many of the female characters almost have their tits out. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the world. Then the DLC character has her butt out.
- story would be ok.. if it actually showed us instead of telling us. Who are exactly the authority? Nameless soldiers in a suit is not good enough. Who is Cross? Who are the resistance? Just 4 guys? Show us dammit.
- repetitive to the max. I could have stopped playing the moment I left Wellsprings (actually even earlier) and I wouldn't have missed anything since the gameplay doesn't evolve beyond that.
- no further fucking comment on the joke that is the final level and ending
I'll give it a 5, which coincidentally is also the amount of money I paid for it. And that's how much it is worth..

Remember enemies brainlessly charging at you for the most of the game, awful "it's muh artistic vishion" filters on the screen and that awful, awful ending? Also shit performance if you had an AMD GPU back in the day
