If I remember correctly the hardest diff is locked until you beat the game. I was asking because I am missing just the last diff achv and the game is already too easy even in coop where its supposed to be hard (increased enemy spawn). Basically every enemy dies within one hit
I don't know man. I never played the isodemo version so I don't know if it have different type of saves (you know that some groups are doing that). I got all DS games from some bundle so I played only the legit version
Usually I am always down for some coop but I don't know when I will be able to since I am working and studying at the same time currently. Maybe I will be able to play in the weekend so if you want to start right now you should start solo. The game is piss easy anyway, I don't know why they added the coop tbh. Its supposed to be more fun but it gets boring fast because we are wiping the floor with the enemies
Is there no way to add this game to Steam library? I own the previous games, but I don't like the idea of having a gazillion clients just to play games.

Download from Origin. Paste crack. Say bye bye to Origin. Better than nothing
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
It has nothing to do with that. It's just an extremely rushed game, which is only obvious in the latter part of the game. It's as if it was made by the same team that made Dragon Age 2.

Look at this... these are the best weapons you can craft - stasis spitting flamethrower that slows down and damages the rushing opponents with under barrel shotgun if they manage to get up close. And the other weapon is nail gun that 1 hits literally everything and if there's group of enemies I mounted a rocket launcher under the barrel. And thats on Impossible... give those two weapons to both players and you can't die by the normal enemies, only the bosses will cause some trouble because of their mechanics.
I'm in chapter 13?/20 and I got to say this game is so badly written

Wouldn't you say though that the game has some genuinely fun sections at the start? That is, until you realize how much content was reused over and over and over and over again... I actually liked that the horror turned more into the theme of the game instead the focus. The way it's been rushed is the huge problem with it in my opinion, not that it's more action-focused.
i finished this game not long ago (solo), been putting it off for such a long time because i thought coop integration will ruin, but was very pleasantly surprised when i finally sat down to play it.
i liked almost everything in this game, except a few things.
- there were two or three chapters with way too much backtracking and back and forth.
- i missed these set piece close and personal boss moments from previous DS games where, for example, a boss pulls you by your leg and if you fail to escape, you get killed in gruesome ways. i guess this mechanic wasn't "compatible" with coop.
- crafting system was interesting but also flawed / clunky. it probably rewards people who do multiple playthroughs, but for single playthrought i had to limit my arsenal to a few weapons that i kept upgrading.
- saving system, just wtf. it doesn't save progress while doing optional missions and these can take as long as an hour. i learned this the hard way.
- finishing it made me even more mad that Visceral wasted time on generic BF Hardshit instead of making a new action adventure horror game or even another dead space.
This Dead M3n only gave me disappointments
And to think that the initial chapters were somewhat truthful to the franchise in terms of tension and atmosphere (sort of).
The problem in my case was that both the gameplay and "plot" gradually turned into generic pew person shooter business with pretty cheap/straightforward level design, and that made me raise more eyebrows than Spock till the final visceral exhaustion.
I liked all 3 game but only first one is horror.
3rd game.is pretty great too. Love the snow planet part of game.

Just finished it and the DLC. The gameplay had its issues (and they are not insignificant) but whatever. It's the writing that has made me lose my mind.
A fucking love triangle being the driving force of the plot for the first half? Isaac, an engineer, being clueless on how to operate simple one button machines? Carver being a 0.5D character because he is there only for co-op purposes? How he magically disappears after every cutscene? The fact that you can't go on for 1 meter when you finally meet the group - and mind you that is in a cutscene only, in gameplay you don't meet anyone - before the script demands that the structure the group walks on breaks / a monster attacks and Isaac falls behind - for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, etc time?
Or the fact the DLC's plot is the worst kind of DLC plot. The main game ends with a "happy" (all things considered) ending and the DLC erases it to tease a far greater danger than everything we've seen in the 3 games.. a plot point that will need to be resolved in Dead Space 4.. a game that doesn't look like it will get made anytime soon.

Dead Space 2 was the peak of the series for me. It had a decent story, a believable Isaac, no bs romance crap, subtle humour, lots
of variety in locations and enemy encounters and finally that ending...
yeah same here dead space 2 was the best. Improved on the first game, had lots of variety, and quality all around.
the first game was fantastic as well, a lot of it being the fact it was the first, but the mid to late game predictable doom 3ish enter room, get a recognizable cue, and monsters come in, rinse repeat, kinda bogged it down.
Third one should have been a stand alone expansion really, as its a good game for what it is, a full on, third person action game in the dead space universe.
Dead Space 3, despite all it's flaws, still had core gameplay elements on right place and kept original atmosphere of the game. Just for that some of other issues could be forgiven... but not forgotten, of course.
It was REALLY hard to fuck up Dead Space series with such good original concept and good start with 1-2, but they did. Just shows what greedy gamepublishers are capable of :P
