Graphics are perfect. (for this kind of game) Maybe I'm just happy because it looks better than Road Rash Good effects, don't recall blood, that would be nice though......
Only maps I played were 4 lane, and boring IF I knew they were the final product, but still alpha. Hoping for road construction work and roadblocks later. Downtown areas are a must, as are pedestrians.
“Road Redemption is currently a deep, satisfying 10-15 hour experience. It has received rave reviews from critics, and is bug-free. It's on Early Access so the developer can get fan feedback for the final version and ports to other platforms.”
How long will this game be in Early Access?
“Final release date is planned for Q1 2015.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“The final version will incorporate all of the user feedback that we receive from fans, over the next two months.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The current version is a playtested, bug tested, 10-15 hour experience. Even in its current state, it has already received rave reviews from game critics.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“Road Redemption will be priced $10-$15 higher once it is out of Early Access.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“The Road Redemption development team closely monitors all forum posts and online reviews and takes all feedback very seriously.”

Yeah, they gave me a free key too. TBH im not enjoying it too much though.
It's fun! Although it's still in Early Access, so no multiplayer mode yet. There is a campaign mode with perma-death which means after you die, you have to star over. Once you die, you can spend experience points on basic stuff like increased health, weapon duration, damage, or start with better weapons and other stuff which carry over in to the new game. Sometimes it's a bit chaotic when it starts to rain cars, or other drivers start to drop bombs. It requires some skill when you drive through all that chaos and at the same time trying to shoot with a grenade launcher other drivers. It's like Road Rash on drugs.
The only thing which was weird is the music. Electronic doesn't really suit this game, there are some instrumental rock music but it doesn't have that "rock'n'roll" feel. I prefer some punk, rock in games like these, probably the same Road Rash: Jailbreak spoiled me.
I actually thought it was a rather crap game. I used to love Road Rash on the Mega Drive, but this... yikes.
Handling is off and history tells us something that big never gets changed even if it's just 'beta'. Also going with roof top levels is too ridiculous. Then again, guess this is for the fans of the later Road Rash games.

My god.. .Road Rash.. the flood of memories here is unbelievable.
It kind of boggles my mind that companies want to make money these days, and they have these amazing winning formulas, and they don't just build upon those.
As some of the others have mentioned, I don't think this one quite fits the winning formula enough for me for the old school Road Rash days, but I'll always keep my eye open for such a thing. What an amazing game at the time.
I always enjoyed the challenge of trying to deplete the health bar of the police.
I tried the "complete" EA version, where there's a campaign and such. It was crap because you die so easily and there's no continue. Once you are dead you start all over. Basically it was a huge grind to max out your skills so you can compete for longer time because of unfair advantages. The first ever playable version was WAY better because you were just playing for fun and ofc it was damn fun. Now you just hit one car and your health is at 20-30%, 5 min later some guy with SMG shoots you or slam you with hammer and you have to start all over. Thats not fun at all. In the old RR you could break your bike, you can do that too, but I never managed to destroy my bike. Its always the guy who dies very fast. Git gut you will say, well, thats not the point. You will get shot at or beaten up sooner or later and you have to start all over because the game is not exactly short. Its crap mechanic.

Yeah, that perma-death is annoying (there is a perk which lets you start from Mission 3, don't know if there are more). It's still a fun game, Road Rash on drugs!
Well that video is a good example of how poor the state of the game still is. But hey... better to get some shovel knight in for the hipsters rather than working on the countless things that need improvement.
The only one I've ever played was just called "Road Rash", I think it's the one released in 1996 for Windows? That was such a fun game. And for me Redemption couldn't capture that at all.
