At least console gamers have an amazing face scanning!
With such a gigantic size it'll take me a while.. [cries internally], but hopefully I'll be able to maintain 60fps at decent detail. How's the gameplay so far?
Seems much easier to play defense than in previous versions so far which I really like. My Player mode seems to reward you much better now for just playing solid basketball. I'm not real keen on the interface this year. I'm sure I'll figure it out though in a day or 2. Hopefully they'll fix the servers soon. Overall I have a feeling I'll get a lot of hours out of this game.
Someone needs to hack that VC stuff into mycareer, surprised some chinese nba fans havent done it
I read they are stored server side so not easy to hack. Supposedly you can go offline and check change your My Player stats with a he editor like cheat engine. Not sure if it works for online or not though
IXI, what are your thoughts on our FIRST next gen NBA2k?!?!!
You should ask him in about 2 days, when he finishes downloading it

Haha you guys are cruel...and sadly you're right, too. I'll finish tomorrow night (maybe).
Judging from all the gameplay videos that I've seen so far (including Pey's), it definitely feels like an evolution rather than a revolution, but it was foolish to expect otherwise.
In terms of core mechanics, the previous "non next gen" games had already reached a significant level of realism, so now they're focusing on the visual fidelity, immersion and balance. Not too dissimilar from what it happened to Fifa this year (except for the fact that EA nailed only the first two ). The lack of proper competition doesn't help, either.
Discovered a "bug".. You can upgrade your player offline, but you cannot upgrade the badges (aka traits) without VC ( tho the error message is quite stupid saying that you don't have enough points).

I can maybe build more excitement for you.
the AI is way better than last gen 2k14, i mean seriously improved, defensively and offensively.
the new stats sliders and playsets mean that the teams have their own identity, and cycle through their options very cleverly.
playing the spurs, i felt tired of chasing the ball on defense, and got destroyed as the warriors, as i should do considering their defense.
when Kawhi Leonard is lurking i get nervous, he has three steals and one block in one game against me. he was individual brilliant defensive due to AI alone. crazy improvement.
the engine is better too, the ball feels more alive, the big guys feel heavier and more intimidating. foot planting is a small difference but makes a massive change to the feel of the game, and the flow.
my career, is actually very fun and entertaining, the voice acting and writing isn;t terrible at all. and the improved AI means its genuinely fun, and not frustrating like older games.
