Three slices of pizza are a more than decent appetizer, before waiting for the proper meal Very Happy

Jokes aside, when I was younger and could eat as much as I wanted without gaining kilos, I could easily devour one proper portion of pasta + one pizza + dessert without problems. Getting old sucks!

Good thing, so many italians emigrated to Luxembourg last century. We have lots of nice pizza&pasta here! Aww Yeah

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Nothing beats pizza in new york/new jersey.

Fun fact! The water used in making the pizza dough here gives it a much better taste due to all the mineral content we have in our water Wink

Same goes for bagels.

In the last couple of years there have been some fucking awesome Neapolitan style pizza places that have opened here (ovens imported from Italy), like this sort of thin crust awesomeness (of which you can easily eat the whole fucking thing!)

also, http://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/2014/01/the_top_10_neapolitan_pizza_in_toronto/

not sure how to explain this best but the crust on these types of pizza is the perfect balance between being thin but also being a bit chewy at the same time. And super fresh ingredients!

I should add, in no way am I saying the pizza is better in Toronto than it is in New York because that would be an outright light. But it is getting better Smile

We...don't really have any light soda?

Right now you're hard pressed to find any soda with real sugar in it. I mean other than some slight underdog companies who you have to pay through the roof, Pepsi has their "throwback" line that uses beat sugar instead of the syrup. So far it's Mountain Dew, Pepsi and Cherry Pepsi.

http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/aspartame-truth-vs-fiction/

What does the evidence say about aspartame? A recent published review of all available evidence, including hundreds of studies, concluded:

- The studies provide no evidence to support an association between aspartame and cancer in any tissue. The weight of existing evidence is that aspartame is safe at current levels of consumption as a nonnutritive sweetener.

Most of the bad pizzas out there do exist because of the not-so-quality ingredients used. The procedure is really easy, even a trained monkey could do it, but as soon as you use pseudo-artificial tomato, bad quality mozzarella and those pre-made industrial doughs, the final result is doomed, no matter the efforts to mask it with tons of salami's and the likes. What is "light" soda?

There's non-sugar soda and then there's sugar soda.

In the non-sugar soda (ie. Coke Zero/Light/Diet and Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Max) the sweetness comes from Aspartam K and Acesulpham (or something like that, one is to remove the bitterness from the other), completely non-caloric and perfect for diabetics since it doesn't affect the glucose levels in the blood at all. However, if they're stored near a heating source or in a hot storage place with no cooling unit the sweetener will change chemically and the taste will become slightly bitter and quite icky.
