NO ONE thought it might be a good idea to quarantine the lone survivor of a plague ship when they bring her onboard... Don't even bother with protective gear... NO common sense...the fact that everything rests on their survival hasn't seemed to penetrate their thick skulls with all these stupid chances they're taking... If it were me, no one handles her, or her blood, without full protective gear, and keep her segregated from all human contact until tests are done... But nope, let's just assume she's magically immune and not a carrier or that the plague has evolved or anything... Stupid fucks!

well it was a sarcastic comment, i knew it wasn't over... just saying, given the state of things in the show at the moment one could reasonably say there wasn't much left to do, and nothing really that could threaten them any more (and thus taking away any remaining tension or sense of danger), UNLESS the writers come up with some really silly and contrived set of circumstances to reset balance again...
This could be the worst show ever, or very close to one. If North Korea ever made a TV show it would look 100% like this, just replace the USA military with NK and Russian with USA
nah i disagree... it has this kind of... innocent, childlike charm about it. its not smart, but its loud and crazy. its the very definition of evening intellect-free viewing, where you dont have to think... just sit back and let it wash over you while you giggle.

So I started watching this and it isn't that bad. Compared to many other shows it does nothing new or special, if anything is at fault its the timing they started doing this show. Murrika isn't particularly popular right now.
Although this show revolves around a Naval Destroyer and is therefore called the Last Ship, I think the name is wrong. Now they are back to the mainland and the show has been renewed do they go back to sea for season 2? I mean it would be dumb to have season 2 on the mainland because the name of the show wouldnt fit coz I guess there would be less ship in it? Ok the ship has been captured now so we havent seen the end of the ship but Im just wondering how season 2 is going to progress. Maybe they will spread the whole 2nd season across recapturing the ship lol
WELL. i knew they were going to have to concoct a reason to raise the stakes and make things more dangerous again...

to me, the title last ship is now about the crew i think... about them as an entity loyal to each other, so the title still holds i think. They're the last american 'force' remaining that still holds 'true' to its orders/purpose.
or, i dunno, maybe they're going to sink america is season 2, so that they can drive their boat everywhere, bringing freedom and justice.

Oh god. I know Im going to watch this. Actually the end of the first series was quite intriguing. No doubt they wont stay on land for long though since it is called 'The Last Ship' lol.
