There are browser extensions that force it to buffer continuously "old style". |
Yeah I know, it took a while for some of them to be updated to the changes that Google did with Youtube so a few things broke but that particular feature was really useful.

You could try to force the game to render in DX9 mode (Since GeDoSaTo still only supports D3D9 and D3D9Ex.) by using -sm3 as a shortcut parameter, otherwise it will try to use DX11 which I thought was required at first but it seems it can do DirectX 9 as well.

Doesn't work unfortunately, although the briefly window before the game starts indicates 64bit, dx9. I also edited the two config files, engine/system settings with the downsample resolution. (just like Outlast)
The game is pretty locked down when it comes to commands as well, none of the freecam, slowmo, nohud...none of them work with this one. (I could probably disable the hud/button prompts, but that's not the point)

I have deleted also, i dont think its nowhere near the quality of LA Noire, story is ok, but the gameplay is so bad i didnt find it worth it to spend time on this.

Top notch, nah, it was interesting on its own but the gameplay was pretty boring. If you did like 1 case / day it was OK though but absolutely not something you want to play all day or you'll be brain dead.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

Well, that didn't go as planned.
Took me less than three hours (..) to finish the game, and my initial semi-positive impressions didn't last much, sadly.
This title had all the potential to become something unique, by introducing proper interesting mechanics and expanding on the good concept..there could have been a nice blending of narration and gameplay, but nope. None of that.
As much as I enjoyed the supernatural story (even the ending, albeit too far stretched), I can't help but express my disappointment for the choices made when it came to both the level design and very repetitive core gameplay. I agree with what Xxax said, you never have to use the brain here, ever, you're never in control of anything, it's a movie-like experience where the player is like a puppet all the time. And not even of the good kind :<
At least interactive experiences like Fahrenheit or The Walking Dead gave you the "illusion of being there/in control" and the right sense of immersion (not to mention LA Noire which had much more substance overall). This one was just a dry sequence of cutscenes, with some demon hunting in the middle that repeated itself till the end. No variety at all, just this:
What a shame..I thought this could be easily a decent game at first, but it decided to settle for mediocrity instead.
(giant IMO of course )

Haha, you can give the ISO a try if you're curious but..indeed I wouldn't recommend spending money on this (not now at least). You'd basically pay one dollar per click, like those sites

I've been playing for an hour or so and I just don't feel any urge to keep playing the game. The story is ok so far I guess, but the puzzles are meh and make little sense. I mean it's just moving from A to B, dodging demons and solving a scene (by picking up the answers that make little sense to what's asked).

LOL
Was wondering how people were responding to this game.
It's not often everyone agrees on an opinion.
1 big pile o shit, don't even try.

Finished it today and enjoyed it. The gameplay is very simplistic, you just explore and press a button to continue. There is no challenge, it is all about the story and exploring the city of Salem.
The graphics are just adequate but at least it runs very smoothly (unlike Watch dogs...)
If you like something like Heavy Rain or Beyond : Two Souls, wait for a steam sale or try the isodemo now.

Does anyone have issues with the controller not responding on launching the game?
I have to switch the controller to unplug and re-connect it to get it working, which may fail at times too.

That presentation on PAX had bad sales written all over it.
Wonder for how much discounted E3 awards go for!

at first as was like maybe this is an underrated game due to not being a cover shooter. Then I discovered it's a buggy half assed noclip mode environment explorer that really makes me want to sleep.

yeah, just completed it. it's pretty much this. 99% of the game has 0 fail states, with the few stealth scenes being the exception.
But despite it being a no gameplay, no challenge, I enjoyed the audio visual package and the story. Good voiceovers and music, nice art direction and level design. Also, didn't see the ending coming so each scene kept me going to see what happens next.
As with most casual games, it comes with a heavy dose of missed opportunities and could have been's, but for the length presented, the game doesn't overstay it's welcome.
