since i got my motherboard (asus P8Z77V_LK), i had a rpi conected to a usb port.
even when i power off the computer (shutdown, hibernate is disabled), rpi was up and running. usb ports where powered.
yesterday i had a look on asus website, and decided to update my bios. what could go wrong.
well, when i shutdown my computer, usb ports are not powered anymore. i'm looking at the damn bios and on internet for over 2 h, dint find anyhting.
i moved rpi to my dell monitor usb ports, but still, anyone have any ideea what to look for ?
or that feature was considered a bug, and "resolved" in this bios update ?

The USB ports should still provide power when your computer is shut down. Have you checked you haven't missed something in the BIOS?

I would have thought the default setting was on. If you can't find any info on Google or the Asus forums, maybe try reverting back to the old BIOS and see if it is enabled again?

seems like was my fucktup, but for my surprise, asus suport responded me in about 12h, and helped me.
after the bios reset, seeing that rpi was not powered anymore, before i started screwing up in bios, i moved rpi in another usb port (to check if the port was the issue). which was a usb 2.
so even when i set the option right (ASMedia USB 3.0 Battery Charging Support -> enable), dint work because i had pluged the rpi in a non usb 3 port.
