Yeah but EDI tells you what those are, I think lola is just talking about sending probes down to get minerals by following that stupid "hot/cold" scanner.

I had a serious case of OSD when it came to that stupid mini-game, i had to 100% every damn solar system r, it just didn't feel right to leave it "uncompleted". Razz

In my other playthroughs, once I got the resources I needed for specific upgrades, I just clicked on the planet to get info (and listen if there is a mission there - EDI will tell you if there is something to do before you even get to the scanning stage) and then back out... 100% done. You didn't really need to scan it to mark it as explored Razz

Yeah, seeing how the devs made fun of themselves was priceless. I still have to make a playthrough of ME3 with all the DLC's installed.

Some of the DLC for ME3 is incredible, especially the likes of Leviathan, Omega and Citadel.

Aye, Citadel and Lair of the Shadow Broker are usually regarded as the best DLCs for the series. Omega is great too imo, Leviathan ties into the ME3 ending a lot, so mileage depends on one's willingness to accept that (compared to, say, the Happy Ending Mod).

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

<3 Happy Ending Mod <3

IMO that's how the game should have ended and as far as I'm concerned, that's the ONLY way it ended.

finished this, game was good overall, what i didnt liked, the recruiting and loyalty missions kinda pulled the focus out of the main mission/story (even though some missions were pretty awesome), i mean after doing some of those even forgot about the collectors and couldnt care less about them Sad

also found something nice, some little complexity http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/3025/suisidemissionfinal8.jpg

It's not really complex. Make sure everyone is loyal, use Miranda or Garrus as squad leaders, Samara or Jack as biotic specialist, Tali or Legion (or Kasumi) as tech specialist, Mordin as crew escort. The game pretty much explicitly tells you what to do (although the Mordin thing is to prevent a bug that can sometimes kill him).

Concerning the plot, I always found ME2's plot to be the most disappointing thing of the series, bar ME3's ending. They essentially pissed away an entire third of the trilogy with a plot that does nothing to advance the overall narrative arc of the series. It's essentially filler material, marking time until ME3. The worst outcome was the inflation of Cerberus from a throwaway mention in an ME1 sidequest to needless baggage that took away far too much screen time in ME3 from the supposed actual antagonists. They should have had the Reapers invade during the course of ME2.

Main plot aside, I actually quite like the missions in ME2. Characters have always been Bioware's strongest area, and there are some great moments with party members and other NPCs during ME2. It's a real shame that they wrote themselves into a corner by making the central plot device of ME2 a mission where the majority of the party could be killed off, thereby effectively sidelining them for ME3.

From a gameplay perspective, looking back on it now I would probably consider ME2 the most fun of the series to actually play. It removed some of the clunkiness of ME1 and while it was a bit too heavy handed with the streamlining in places, it didn't go quite as far as ME3 and its DA2-style sidequests.

I always thought the meat and fun of the game was to assemble the team, and not so much fighting the aliens up to the end. I agree though ME2 is the best ME game.

Yeah, that appears to be the only way. That said, Amazon are selling BioWare Points codes, so you can get the specific amount required for each DLC:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=node%3D2445220011&field-keywords=bioware+points

You still have to redeem them at the BioWare Store, though. Sad
