Steam uses those commands too internally, you need them for the game to work.
(Like say Painkiller Hell & Damnation needing -seekfreeloadingpcconsole which it also receives from the Steam launch configuration and thus needs via a shortcut to the exe if attempted to launch without Steam.)
The only way to use normal run with no commands is to move the files from x64 or x86 folder to main game dir
but there is a lot of noobs that don't read the nfo and get their game crashing.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D / MSI Gaming X Slim GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER / ASRock B650 PRO RS / Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 / G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL30 / Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB / SeaSonic VERTEX GX-850 850W Gold / Lian Li LANCOOL 216
So it's like say "7-days to die" where there's two folders for the binaries (x86 and x64) and a .bat file moves the selected version to the main folder upon start, only here the developers have chosen a different method for it but essentially doing the same thing, good to know.
You can't ask for sources here, you should know that by now, requesting ANY warez will likely end in you getting banned.. so I'd remove that if I were you Most of us already know where this kind of coughRINcough stuff is located, that's why only the release name is needed \o/
I know, but i have seen links for updates before, i thought it was only forbidden to link to actual game releases and not updates, patches, etc etc
It's kinda a gray area I think and I've not really done that in a while now (Mostly since FTS, Codex and Ali213 and 3DM have been so active with releasing updates now.) but unmodified files were somewhat accepted (Unless it was the whole game of course.) but modified and especially cracked content is not allowed to be shared directly.
EDIT: On the other hand there are so many "indie" games and early-access games on Steam now that several released games sees updates on a near daily basis.
(Sometimes several times a day.)
Fixed some crash issues on some hardware configurations
Fixed a crash at the end of Stability Test 1 of 3
Fixed issue where Red would sometimes run offscreen during Turn() execution
Fixed an exploit where users could prematurely install multiple Upgrades
Fix to noborder command line option
Double-clicking the .exe file in the install directory will launch the game directly
Improved diagnostic messaging for incompatible graphics cards
Minor text changes
Let me guess, this isn't hard-locking for anyone else but me... right? Random amount of time played, bam, whole game freezes up and can't do anything. The music continues but the game is frozen and only thing to do is CAD and end the task.
That was a fantastic ride
The game is a tad on the short side (around 5 hours for me), but it feels like it's an adequate length. It didn't become stale, and the balance between combat and narration was well measured. Linear and accessible? Yes, but also masterfully crafted and addictive.
The style and soundtrack (once again) are both incredible. Great gem, would recommend.

Damn :/, you're not alone..it happened to me too, but it was before the first boss, so it wasn't too annoying to redo everything. I'm on the FTS release + update3, but I've read it happens to legit users too, it's very random sadly.
Mine has happened six times now, I haven't even managed to get to the first save/checkpoint ffs Random places, random times, but always within the first 15-20m and it's a hard lock necessitating ending task I've heard of a "freezing" bug affecting people where the game freezes for a few seconds, but this is permanent.
Ive heard it puts a real strain on the system - a friend's PC runs incredibly hot because of this... Maybe that's why there's freezes and lock-ups? I idled for cards and didn't notice any huge amount of heat, but *shrugs*

Just tried again, didn't even manage to pull Transistor free before it locked. I checked CPU usage and it was less than 50%, same with GPU. This game is fucking broken.

had the same thing , alt-tab to check WTM and .... game suddenly took 5gigs of ram... ouch this game has a serious memory leak ... when it happens again I will take a screenshot to not look like a idiot ..
I had a bunch of transistor.exe processes running in the background long after I stopped playing, had no idea why my fans were higher than normal idle speed until I checked
To be honest this game isn't worth it, nowhere near as interesting as Bastion t me, and the combat is even more boring. It's like these guys can do anything but make a game that's fun to play
Regarding the story, why the Camerata wants to kill red? Is the any logic in their pursuit for the singer? I read the wiki, but it doenst say why, they just to want kill her because of her voice, or because she is a famous singer? why would they kill a singer anyway? lol
If the transistor was so important in the first place, why did they throw it at her and then persiut her? makes no sense.
Wrote about it some time ago , HERE IN THIS TOPIC, but since people became such winy bitches when endings are explained , they reported my post as a spoiler ... and fucking cunts mods deleted it ... she has to die to escape the time loop she is IN ... to wake up , all people that are closed in transistors [see those tubed people at the ending], she is in a never ending program loop
but HEY PEY CAN SAY it , what is at the end ,SO why cant I
I was just looking for the reason the camerata tried to kill red at the beginning of the game, since it´s not properly explained, and I need to write (in my review) something that says why, without any major spoiler.

I'm not sure I got it right, but:
Spoiler:
The Camerata basically used the Transistor to absorb talented people and their soul in order to create major attractions for the citizens, and when they noticed Red (she was a singer in Cloudbank), they tried to do the same with her.
The plan didn't work though because apparently a guy (the narrator) noticed the scene, stepped in and got killed instead. I'm assuming they both got teleported somewhere safe after the accident (this is unclear)
I contacted Greg Kasavin, the writer and creative director of the game (and former editor-in-chief of GameSpot) to clear some doubts.
My questions were:
1 - Why exactly does Camerata want to kill Red? Her voice? any particular skill she has (function)?
2 - Was the process invented by Camerata or was it there long before them?
3 - Is Cloudbank the actual setting of the game or is it some sort of Matrix and the people living in it are programs (with functions)? What exactly is the country as opposed to the city of Cloubank?
4 - Why does Red remains voiceless after the assassination attempt even though she wasnt harmed in the process?
His answers:
Spoiler:
1. According to Asher, "all we needed was your point of view." Red was a person of influence, and the Camerata were seeking particularly influential people to gain undue influence over Cloudbank. There's more information about why exactly they chose Red in the Crash() function profile and elsewhere in the game.
2. The Camerata did not create the Process, though implicitly, Royce discovered the Process and gained control over it when he discovered the Transistor. You can learn more about the Process by inspecting the 10 Limiters you unlock during the game, and Royce also talks a lot about it.
3. This is for you to consider. The people of Cloudbank know no other world save for theirs, and to them, the Country is a place for retirement.
4. How do you know she wasn't harmed?
Again my apologies for not giving you straight answers here, though for what it's worth I think you're asking great questions that show a lot of understanding (even though maybe it doesn't feel that way).
I use headphones mate and sorry for the late response, I somehow missed that entirely
Also just finished the game and the only fault I can find is the fact that it ended...
Sort of, because NG+ (for the lack of a better term ) should be mighty interesting. You get to combine functions with themselves, lots of lulz to be had with that. Breach+Breach+Bounce sounds like a crazy bouncing beam
Anyway, I just really have 0 complaints other than its length.
- Gorgeous artwork (just like Bastion)
- Amazing soundtrack (just like Bastion)
- Highly addictive and unique gameplay (just l..nah, I'll stop now ).
- A good story that messes with the mind a bit
And the skill combinations one can make. I've played around with so many different ideas just to see what it's like. Things like Ping+Help to cheaply fuck up my attackers all the time
Can't wait to see what Supergiant do next. That's 2 for 2 for me.
