These are the only two Steam value calculators that I am aware of, mysteamgauge.com and http://steamdb.info/calculator/

But when I calculate the value of my steam account in both platforms, I get a more than $2000 difference between the two sites.

On steamgauge it prompts $16.341,12 and on steamdb it prompts $14.218,79, why is this and which value is more trustworthy?

One likely takes into consideration current sales, the other... doesn't? That's the only discrepancies I can think of.

It seems steamgauge is down at the moment, but I'm fairly convinced that I've seen the sale prices referenced on steamgauge listings, and considering that it is on steamgauge that I get the highest reading, it would be accurate to presume that it should be there that the sale prices would not be included in the calculation.

Could it be that steamgauge adds the price of all DLCs and steamdb not?

I doubt it, DLC can be pretty expensive - so I see no reason why one calculator site would exclude a fairly large chunk of the Steam marketplace.

As far as I know, they don't, the purpose of a steam calculator is to give you an estimate of your account's worth.
