Same here. Wanted to play the SS3 addon.
I never had it with the main game back then.

Have a 7870, i5 2500k and Win7 64bit. I think it has something to do with AMD fucking their drivers wrong

Not really. it is by far best gpu I have ever owned. It is very fast and achieves speeds of 7950 after safe oc. it have 50C (oced) in stress while it is impossible to find nvidia card that have this little on desktop Laughing

really. I remember HATING amd before I had my 8800gt. (had 4850 or 70 for 2 weeks before 8800gt 5 years ago) because it was hot, laud and ccc was crappy shit.

But I think I timed crafting new pc perfectly 5 months ago. Amd was just after making huge changes with their drivers department and I had no problems whatsoever with my amd BESIDES microstutter in few games which is easy fixed by capping the game at 1frame below 60hz. Actually I was doing the same with my old 8800gt for responsiveness so that is not a problem for me.

edit: well actually 8800gts 320 (which I had before 8800gt) was incredible when i got it. But it got really old really fast and had terrible memory problems. Now it's not even easy to find working 8800 cards. They seem to have 5years "off switch" Laughing tho my 8800gt was going strong while it lasted Smile

You entirely missed the point.

You're stating temps like there's some universal "good or bad" range for all cards, when that is not the case.

What matters is each INDIVIDUAL card's safety range. Just because your current card gets lower temps than your older one does not inherently determine quality or dependability.

8800s were kind of known to run hot but those high temps (within reason) were ok for them. I had an 8800GTX for 6 years and it played games at 70C without issues (other than becoming outdated Smile).

these temps were anything but ok. my reference 8800GT was running especially hot, high 80s on load, but still that's way below rated 105C. it simply burned out after 4-5 years of gaming (anyone remember 8800GT oven fix? Laughing ). since then i only buy cards with custom coolers and haven't had a problem like that. it's very important for card's longevity to run as cool as possible, even if nvidia/amd rates them for some absurd numbers like 105C. how long can card work at these temps really, 1, 2 years tops? thanks but not thanks, i'll take low temps that custom coolers provide.

Damn, didn't notice how old that post was.

Regardless, my post wasn't saying that temps don't matter at all. It was merely pointing out that a card running hotter than another isn't necessarily a problem, which is what was slightly implied in KC's post.

As for high temps being ok, I said WITHIN REASON. Obviously cards have their limits. I was referring to his 50-60C idle temps. My 8800GTX had that and 70s during gaming. That was not unusual or a cause for concern for that card.

As for your card running at high 80s...yes I too would have considered getting an aftermarket cooler or improving case airflow at that point. I don't think anyone can prove if it was that temp that killed it over 4-5 years, though. Cards go out for lots of reasons.

936 days without a working crack. every other p2p crack from every other release (doenst matter if only basegame or the dlcs) had still triggers which made the game unplayable

havent tried this release, bought it some time ago, but cpy has cracked the talos principle clean too, so i think this is fully working too

Exactly. It was perfectly playable if you know to workaround the trigger (read: put game in proper folder). I've played it and finished it that way couple of years ago with no issues.

EDIT:
Anyway, it just shows that good old fashioned triggers are better protection then advanced DRM systems. Scene just has no patience to test full gameplay to catch all triggers.

Fusion was updated after a few months of the developers focusing on a larger update, going by the second post though on how the update is a bit unstable due to last minute changes and the following post on how two additional patches are planned for November to fix this perhaps it should have been delayed further.

It's a beta though, no idea why they had to rush a patch in the first place either but eh what do I know.

EDIT: Oh this hasn't moved since 2015 as there isn't a Fusion topic and the S-Sam 4 topic is what's been used for Fusion discussion, I see.

EDIT: So the dev being a bit of a dick is why it got rushed?

PSYCHE!

The patch is already here!

And from the original patch release topic.

Quote:

Please post any bug reports as separate threads so we can categorize them easier.

Also two more patches are expected to be released in the next two weeks to fix the unstableness. (Most likely November 9 and 15, respectively.)

...Maybe stick to the original date if that's what it takes to finish testing and releasing a update in stable condition especially as this isn't a beta branch patch.

What the fuck do I know though.
