Was playing a strength character with some magic and heavy armor in DS1. But didn't really like the slowiness of it Surprised And armor didn't really seem to help negate damage.
Will try a faster build this time

Well armor reduces damage (And a good shield can block most physical damage.) but getting hit by a boss or a group of enemies will still drain health quickly if you keep getting hit.

...Or walking up to a comically large mushroom and trying to kick it's ass like you did with it's smaller brethren only to be sent flying by a epic punch easily one-hitting normal characters. Razz

Spend a few good points in stamina and a shield with 100% physical resistance and you don't have to worry about the damage tbh. Found the game ridiculously easy once i got my equipment tuned. Sure there were a few bosses that were exceptions that were trickier. Smelter boss melted my ass a good few times.

Actually I used the Bastard Sword + 10 until I got the Drakenwing Ultra Greatsword and upgraded it to +5. and I have the defender shield +5.

I mean, it works. It's really good for PvE. I had no trouble and I'm almost done with NG+.

But I noticed that my summons made tons of damage in bossfights than me and in PvP I got raped by casters.

I guess that means, if you had already preloaded you'll need to download this new patch after unlocking tomorrow Wink

Unless you delete your preload and do it again.

Just that the game should now be complete and ready for unlocking, furthermore if there was a way to decrypt the CSM/CSD archive files it would also mean that everything needed to play the game as intended was now available (Like the exe or the release-date update, maybe both in this case.) but sadly those files are encrypted and locked server-side by Steam and whatever else it uses for security. Smile

So all that can be done is waiting until it unlocks tomorrow going by the slightly earlier Japanese release date.

Just play it like I did on my lol wut potato station 3.

I went full no armor, only rings and weapon+shield.

I did die a shit ton, but it was worth it and it actually made this easy game hard.

I'll probably at least keep the starting robes, you never know when you'll die in this game ("Try Jumping") and the hollow form is ugly enough even with clothes on. Razz
(At least until mods start appearing heh, wonder if it'll be TexMod packages this time...)
