i just want normal traditional independent mouse look/guiding! please make this game play like a normal game, i dont care how much it RUINS the thing, i just want to have FUN and for a game to feel intuitive and enjoyable... crippling the controls for the apparent SOLE purpose just to try and make gameplay as clumsy as possible, isnt enjoyable Sad

Gamepad gameplay mechanics is very hard implemented in this game. This thing that you ask, will force developers to re-make almost everything in this game. Next step is what, maybe to move during aiming, increased FOV, maybe freeroam and vehicles...? Just start playing with controller or just switch to other games...

Example - i like very much racing games. But i dont constantly ask for arcade car behaivior, like NFS game, for Asseto Corsa right? Bacause this will be stupid. The game is made for realism, playing with some serious wheel and etc... I dont like realism and most important i dont what to play with WHEEL. But i dont complaining about that, because if you make Asseto Corsa arcade game what will loook like - like shit. Game has no cutscenes, has no single player campaign, has shitty graphics. This, plus arcade will make it one big turd.

i dont think its fair to compare proper mouse controls in a game to arcade vs sim in a racing game.

for instance, in re4, you can already use your mouse to look around... it wouldnt be a massive design change to NOT have the view autosnap back to center when you start moving.

the fact you also suggested freeroam and vehicles in the same vein as mouse aiming tweaks in terms of their 'outrageousness', is pretty silly and over the top.

I like how the game runs at slowmo when I put it in 60FPS, but what I like even better is the devs blaming hardware performance for that. The game sure is that demanding...right.

Change log
New Feature:
Laser color can now be customized by editing the RGB value in config.ini file located in ...\Documents\My Games\Capcom\RE4\config.ini.

Changes can be made by altering values from 0 to 255 for each of the base colors (laserR = red; laserG = green; laserB = blue). laserA changes the transparency level of the dot.

Example for Blue laser with visible laser dot:
laserR 0
laserG 0
laserB 255
laserA 255

To return to the factory setting (red laser sight), simply enter -1 for laserA and save.

Important note: these variables will not be present in the config.ini file before this patch. In order to make them appear, simply enter graphic settings, return to main menu, and close the game.

Various minor bug fixes:
Fixed the “jumping” animation that occurred when quickly aiming up/down while drawing a weapon ("modern" mode)
Fixed the sound effect volume when Leon stabs Saddler in the eye (Final Chapter).
Fixed missing texture on the barrel right before the jet-ski ride.
Fixed corrupted water in "Salazar statue room" in 60 fps mode.
Fixed additional camera flash during the church cutscene (end of Chapter 2-1).
Fixed rate of lightning strikes during Chapters 2-1 and 2-2.
Fixed "modern" sensitivity affecting game pad's left/right turn speed during aim mode.
Re-tuned mouse sensitivity to reduce discrepancy between camera speed and aim speed when using "Modern" control setting.
Fixed weak controller vibrations when shooting guns in 60fps mode.
Fixed a bug causing broken plank to sound like broken glass before encountering the chainsaw sisters in Chapter 2-3.
Fixed grey screen appearing before church puzzle in Separate Ways/Another Order.
Fixed possible freezes in Separate Ways/Another Order after QTEs during cutsenes.
Fixed the speed of seeker robots prior to Krauser boss battle in 60fps mode (Chapter 5-3).

1.0.3 is in beta now (or out of beta, one of the two) already uploaded to RIN.

Very Happy Wink

Edit: There are three 3DM updates since the game came out. Why this isn't mentioned or listed in the nfohump's PC Game DOX section? Isn't 3DM a scene group? Rolling Eyes ixi thank you for the tip! Smile

And no, 3DM aren't a "recognised" scene group so whatever they, and ALI213, release just gets ignored.

It should do, yes, they're usually just Steam emulators and they work for all versions.

Beta update 1.0.6 is now available, replacing 1.0.3, 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 since it seems the latest "stable" patch is still at 1.0.2

Quote:

Fixes & Tweaks:

Re-tuned water reflection animation speed when played in 60fps mode
Removed static texture on burning candles in the church (Separate Ways/Another Order)
Re-tuned speed at which cannon shells are launched in Chapter 4 of Separate Ways/Another Order
Fixed one pixel-width vertical line that was uncovered on the left side of the screen in Credits and Options menu
Removed orange-ish post process screen effect when Leon and Ashley reenters the church after the Saddler cutscene.
Added back wake effect in 60fps mode after defeating Del Lago.

New Feature:

"Anisotropy" setting can now be saved when altered in the config.ini file. Valid settings are "0" "2" "4" "8" "16" without the quotation mark. Smaller value will result in blurrier textures, but this may help rendering performance for PCs that are at or below minimum specs.
Added a 4th color filter option in the graphics setting menu which slightly reduces the overall 'warm' color effect of the screen (Red and Green toned down on the RGB scale)

(Plus the fixes and features from 1.0.3, 1.0.4 and 1.0.5)

http://steamcommunity.com/app/254700/discussions/0/558753803722588548/

That's the new post-process filter, one that can actually be used while playing the game. Very Happy
(The others kinda make the game look weird.)
