Welcome to Gmail! You can login to your account at http://mail.google.com/.
Here are a couple of tips to help you get started:
Use Gmail's import tools to move mail and contacts from your other email accounts to your new Gmail address.
Download the mobile app for Android or iPhone and iPad to stay connected on the go.
Should you ever encounter problems with your account or forget your password we will contact you at this address.
Enjoy!

I just got this from Google/Gmail a short while ago, it said that my new email address had been created - it was my current email with a 2 added to the end - and offered me tools on how to migrate from my existing one to the new one. Obviously I did no such thing, so I clicked the "disavow" link at the bottom and, sure enough, on my MAIN Google account the new email address was listed as linked. I had to disavow and remove it What the fuck just happened? How could someone create a similar email to mine and then, bypassing my password *and* the 2-step verification *and* the phone verification, manage to link their new email to my existing one?

What I want to know is how someone was able to link their account to mine without getting hit by the 2-step check? Also, I checked my primary Gmail account IP/location history and it was all mine, there were no random/unknown addresses so it looks like even though they could link, they couldn't "view" - or something. Or it could just be a harmless mistake, the new email could have been a typo, I don't know.
