They released a patch last night 1.2.4 that broke the game so they had to revert back to 1.2.3 this morning until they can fix 1.2.4 properly. The game breaking bug was causing your character to get replaced with one of the npc runners so you could not do missions.

And HBS just posted 1.2.5 to fix the broken patch so you will be getting another update soon.

Anyone tried the original on Android? I'm curious how it is playing it on a tablet. Or even a bigger screened phone. Wonder if they patched the save anywhere functionality into it or if they just let it rot like some other devs.

The "save anywhere" function is coming to iOS/Android with Dragonfall "shortly after the PC release" apparently and considering HBS are mobile devs, I can't see them abandoning the mobile version Smile

Same here. The new one feels more polished even though I've only played an hour or so. I pirated both but will be buying them soon.

Dragonfall is great so far but there are way more typos and missing words in sentences then I remember in all of DMS and I am probably only halfway done or so. There is a lot more text this time around but still it is a little embarrassing for a Dev to have this many issues with the English language that is from the US.

What the fuck is wrong with the last battle? I'm playing on hard and the game was relatively easy untill now, but the last battle is so cheap. Yeah let's surround the guy from all sides. I just had to stop since it's not a challenge, it's just frustration. Atleast build up to it with similar fights assholes.

I made it with 1 turn to spare, and even then ONLY because I had just enough AP left to cast haste on the guy that picked up the key.

Cheap battle to be sure. Then again, the ending portions of the original were FAR worse in terms of cheapness factor.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

How does a Dev let their webpage domain expire? Looks like Harebrained Schemes figured out a way to.

I've only been playing Dragonfall for about two hours, and already I can see this being one of the best Shadowrun games imaginable. The difference in atmosphere, tone, writing, characters and interactivity is staggering - it's like DMS, while great in its own way, was a by-the-numbers My First Run where Dragonfall is up there with the best GMs and authors.

Bought, of course! I backed this the instant it hit KS Smile Why, anyhow?

I'm almost finished with Dragonfall, on the last Run now, and it's magnitudes better than DMS.. so much so it's almost like a different game. Atmosphere, music, writing, exploration.. it's drastically improved. Oh and I'm having the same sort of "bug" that many others on the SR forums have reported; hit percentages simply aren't reliable or accurate, the chance to miss is significantly higher and more common than the percentages would suggest. I've missed several 89-97% shots in row and it's more than a little rage inducing.

How long did it take you? It's 14 euros, which is cheap I guess, but I'm worried it'll be short since it's an expansion. The base game was already short enough.

The expansion is longer than the base, I couldn't tell you how long because I've played the overall game for over 70 hours now, and it also took me longer than the claimed <10hrs for DMS; probably around 17 hours to finish that, but I think you're safe looking at around 18-20 hours. It really is that much larger and more expansive... though in the interests of full disclosure, I'm not *entirely* impartial where the game is concerned Embarassed

Finished! Holy fuck... now THAT is how you do an "expansion" pack, it really is. Improved upon the base game in almost every single way. The pacing was better, the music was better, the characters were better, it was just... better. The only thing that wasn't changed (for better or worse) was the combat/matrix systems, everything else was great and I *loved* the writing. I say expansion pack when really this could easily be considered a sequel, especially for the size.

That last mission was a typical SR book ender too, incredibly tense and very fun Very Happy

The one thing I enjoy most is the lack of ridiculous bug enemies that you have to kill twice.

Get it from g2play.

They're gifting it though. I don't know how strict Valve is regarding that. Is it safe?
