The game reminds me of HL with the girl and guys who you see but disappear (G Man) and also of Max Payne with the short "nightmare" sequences.
I had the shit scared out of me a few times. I was climbing down a ladder and some dude just appeared out of nowhere! I was not expecting that.

I don't see why some people don't like this game. It's a perfect running FPS and it has some original aspects which I like very much. Only played an hour yet but it's pretty good!

Bad taste ppl . Im agree , its very linear and some stuff have been seen in other games .
Still the gunfight is the best ever .

The 5 point program for making a great shooter
Pre release hype - check
Great to awesome graphics and sound - check
Great gameplay with enough unique and interesting elements - check
Decent but compelling storyline which can be made into at least a B Grade movie - check
Excellent production values which meshes all these into 1 great package - check
And dear friends, we have a winner!!!!!

So here's my 0,02€
The game is fun. That's the most important part.
Graphics are exellent even though the level design is dull. If doom 3 was dull then what is this?
Story.. well.. umm..
Sounds, are good. But still i think this game would have had more to it with more rich ambient sound and sfx. They are in no means bad but after HL2 and Doom3 these sounds seem a bit.. bland and repeative maybe. Especially after Doom3 wich had most of the athmosfear made by sounds. This, well. it's there but it's nothing special.
But what gets me in this game is the fantastic AI.
These guys that programmed this are , i dunno .. good? Because i have'nt seen this kind of AI ever before. Ever.
It's smart. It's really smart. It's the type of AI i just want to quickload a save just to see what they'll do if i shoot on the opposite side of the wall from them..
All-in-all this game Will be a landmark. Graphical and AI. At least in my opinion.

Haven't played any games for quite a while and tried this thing at work at night 
Awesome 
Really great graphics and sound that build nice atmosphere. The AI, as said before, is top notch, just turn around for a few seconds and you see them comming from behind in groups and flanking you, while others provide cover  Really challenging
Well as I never expected something new in terms of gameplay from this title (too many fps games released, so developers just can't add anything completely new and unseen), I find it really good. 5/5
Plays with some hiccups on 3.2 p4, 1gig ram and 9600xt with everyting on medium (Well it's a pc for work, not for gaming )
I've had a big issue with the voices in the game, there just were none Tried various settings, but nothing helped, until I uninstalled the klite codec pack and installed WMFADist.exe found in the game dir
Screw you guys. I'm going home.

I have ATI 9600, a crappy card but the game still run fine.
1024x768 with 2xAA, everything else on minimum. 2x512mb, Athlon 3000+.
If you hate it, ignore it.
