It might be so -- can't say for sure as I have no way of testing this -- however the resolution is not the issue as much as the choppy framerate and that vaseline FXAA effect. Even at 1080p it makes the overall gameplay look as clear as a 720p image.

had a go with this , and ... this game has horrible streaming issues , the same like Fable 3 had on PC Laughing this game does not slow down or anything but it tries to catch up to the streaming of objects and textures ... its like this game has no LOD and no 3 levels of detail objects [3 separate models that are interchanged ]... its like all of those objects have only one high detailed model that, just pops IN and when it does its... ehm its just freezes the screen to catch up ... its hilarious

internal rendering resolution is 720p and it uses that blur AA x2 and when xbox360 upsacles it to 1080p all is fuck , jaggies everywhere Laughing

the end effect ... is fucking horrible Laughing

but at lest it now looks like a 2009 game

here a pc screen

It does run a bit more smoother with the TU.

Too bad non of the tweaks from previous Fable games got here; I really liked the particles, the improved combat animations, physicsy stuff like vegetation moving about if you touch it, cloth effects on clothes. Makes this seem a lot more flat, compared to Fable 2.

hey what did you expect , this game is BASED ON THE XBOX 1 files that are imported into Unreal 3 [see my picture about the ini files you can edit]

its the same FABLE 1 game that was on xbox back in 2004 , they only changed/replaced the models for higher poly [from characters to houses to trees], added new meshes , increased the internal resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x720p Laughing , added Blur AAx2

and thats is

Well after having played more yesterday, that TU fix a lot more that "a bit" regarding the framerate issue. Game runs much smoother that it did before, and that framerate chug is either a lot less noticeable or completely gone.

Yeah, I'd say the difference in playing this with or without the TU is like day and night.

A couple of things still bug me though, gameplay things like reading books/documents seem pretty busted because of the way the scrolling works as it scrolls the page up/down on it's own, it's basically automated and extremely annoying. Don't remember the old game having that.

Another issue is regarding inventory/trades, it seems there are some bugs.

Armour does not seem to stack properly. If you find some plate gloves, and you already have a pair, they don't seem to stack and there's no indication of how may you have and so you can't go to a vendor and sell the one you found as it will sell it like it's one item.

Also, you can't sell certain items to traders (I'm not talking about selling swords to produce traders, but something that would make sense like selling gems to a gift items trader) because they are grayed out and I'm not sure why that is. A trader will have diamonds on the wanted list, and I have 10 of them yet I can't sell any to him.

And I hate both control options. F2/3 controls aren't as suited for this game as the traditional controls, but the traditional controls don't have full camera control on the right analog, instead it's left/right camera pan and up/down is mapped to some stupid zoom level. What the shit?! Why isn't there a 3rd option, traditional controls + full camera control?

Change to traditional control scheme. Like I said the F2/3 control has full camera control but with traditional only left/right are there properly, up/down is setting zoom levels. Wink

Didn't I specified that the camera "issue" is present in the traditional control scheme, not the F2/3? Laughing

Personally I feel the traditional scheme is better suited for this Fable game. Especially if you are heavy on magic use. The F2/3 scheme has one active slot per spell, and cycle through like in fable 2. With the traditional scheme you can have up to 3 slots, and change between another 3 slots batch.

When playing a good character, will doing some bad actions ruin the game for you? I'm always wary of this after mass effect 2 Laughing
