Is anyone else using the new (free) Opera 8.5 and experiencing strange things with the site? Examples:
1. Forum Topic E-Mail notifications via Outlook when clicked end up loading into Opera then just stopping, just a blank window. Hit refresh and sometimes it will take you to the Topic other times it just takes you to the forum root.
2. Sometimes, not often, you go to the site and it won't login automatically. Or your logged in open a second window and drag-n-drop a link to a blank view and the target is not logged in.
Anyone else using Opera and experiencing just general weirdness with this site?

Thats wierd. I've tested the whole site with Opera 8.02 and it worked flawlessly. It could be an Opera bug since your session cookie seems to get lost while you still got the window open. Do any other sites show the same behaviour?

mrt, no NForce is the only one that I have had this strange behavior. The really annoying one is getting a topic reply notification then clicking the link in Outlook, Opera opens a window and just stalls. If I click refresh then it takes me to the root of the Forum but not the message. What is required is to click the link in the Outlook e-mail message again and then everything works.

[mrt] and TheDiggler,
i solved the prob....
in opera, go to "tools > manage private data ..."
then delete all your temp cockies, and coockie (only that, unchek all the rest)
and delete =)
log you on nforce, then, problem solved !!
(i think it's cause i kept the old coockie from nforce lol)

You sure that worked? I just cleared the cookies, login into NForce again and restarted the browser and I still have the same issues, at least the e-mail topic notification.

Works for me with 8.50 here, but I seem to have some problems with the site needing horizontal scrolling when it shouldn't need it. I didn't have this problem in 8.02, so it's probably a bug in the new Opera.

Hey diggler, i'm here to try to help you. I suggest you some ideas. what i'm saying is not shits, and don't tell me reinstalling opera is more than 4 min to do. Another thing : if NForce got some prob on UR opera, probably some others website will get some too.
reinstalling windows ... lol

Well if I came off as a d*ck, sorry. It is just that this behavior is only on NForce, but everyone else does not seem to have this problem so it is mine. As for reinstalling, I have spent way to many hours customizing Opera and I just don't want to re-import everything back to a fresh install. I can live with it for now...
Thanks anyways....

in this way, i'm 100% oki with you. if u instaled 8.50 on a previous version (8.02, ....) maybe it's the prob.
if on day you found the solution, tell me.
I'm curious to know what was your prob.
