Anyone else following this, this year?

It's quite a secretive internet puzzle that started in January 2012 and usually lasts only a month before returning the following year.
It requires some really cleaver IT/code breaking skills, leading you over on to a web pages on the .onion network, finding bootable Linux CD images online and to various lamp posts scattered all over the world with QR codes on.

Nobody has been able to find out who is behind it and what it leads to.

An IT security expert managed to solve last years puzzle, but arrived just too late at the final server, the Circada team had found it's winner(s): http://www.clevcode.org/cicada-3301/
