I'm looking for a good microphone. I've heard people change microphones and I can't recognize their voice afterwards.

I'm currently using one on my old headset, but looking for new one.
I kind of preffer a headset, because I have a surround system, and use the headset to have the mic next to my mouth, but maybe a good stick? for the mic can also work.

Anyone using any special mics?

I just use your typical Logitech USB table mic. I prefer it that way, since it allows me to use anything I want for the audio (headphones, headsets, speakers or the surround system)... as long as you can find a place to put it Smile

In terms of audio quality, proper headphones are usually superior to any kind of headset you can buy, so I never intend to go for something like that. If you prefer to use it like a headset, then a separate clip-on mic is something most people recommend.

Iam using Zalman ZM-MIC1 and it should be good enough and Samson Meteor Mic USB Studio - if you dont want to clip it onto your headset.

Yeah, or those from modmic.com, heard only good things about them.

Do NOT get a snowball ice. I got one a few weeks ago its horrible at picking up normal volume voice from 1-2 feet away. I had to be 2-3 inches from it to have teamspeak or skype pick me up where they could hear me.
The quality of the voice was great, just the range you can use it from and volume wasnt good for daily usage.

Me too, sound quality is decent enough for normal use. And it works without interference even if it's behind my beard (where my headphones' cord usually tends to go), if that's not a sign of quality mic I don't know what is! Razz
