I tend to avoid Adata whether it's RAM, SSD's or anything by Adata.

Please, Don't forget PLEXTOR m5s series !
Its one of most reliable, fastest ssd for its low price.
Couple of months ago I've did a very detailed search and got a Plextor 128gb m5s. Fantastic drive, to say at least.
avoid ocz, adata and other crap.
Samsung is good
crucial isnt bad but not fast as plextor and samsung

840evo is undeniably a better disk than the adata in this topic, so that would be definitely the one to go for.
@killercrocker, both plextor and crucial are based on marvell, a reliable controller indeed but those two dont really differ in performance, they're actually pretty similar
the difference between a crucial/plextor and evo series, beside the obvious - controllers, would be also the nands, which in case of the first ones is MLC 2bit and the latter TLC 3bit.

If someone is sitting on a OCZ Vertex 4 120GB and want to get rid of for cheapo casho I'd go for a RAID0 setup.

the only product from samsung i like, rest is pretty much junko, especially their overpriced crappy touchwiz infested mobile devices

I read that the 840 Pro should last a lot longer than 840 Evo (as well as the additional performance, but that's less important). Anyone has an opinion between these two?

In theory that is correct, yes. Because it uses TLC NAND instead of MLC. In reality though you'll still easily get 5+ years out of the NAND cycles even at extremely heavy usage. I suggest you read Anand's review and what some users on various forums (OC, OCC, XS) got out of their older SSDs; you'll see that all the SSD lifespan scares are hugely exaggerated. Something else will give up the ghost before the NAND will.

840 Pro
The difference between the 840 Pro 256GB and 840 Evo 250GB was insignificant in the local store, so I said fuck it.
Man what a bitch it is to deal with dynamic GPT disks and their fucking volumes. Nothing free supports them. But after 2 days hard work, finally moved my old drive to the SSD and the only thing it seems that bothered Windows was the need for another activation.

The most difficult process was to find a spot in the box where that damn little thing would not move. Finally, made a gangsta ghetto case using the plastic box it came with. If fits the HDD tray nicely.

True, but I wanted some security if I move the case and forget to take it out before. Now it's not moving at all and quite secure.

never ever turn off page file. As useless as it may seem with the amount of ram we have today, windows and a lot of apps still use it. So set it to something like 1gb or something like that.

I had 4GB DDR2 RAM by Adata once and it worked pretty well over the years. It was simply the cheapest at the time. But somehow I dont trust them either.

No, only the clueless people do.
People turn it off to save writes on the SSD, which is pointless since the pagefile won't shorten the SSD's lifespan by much at all.
Turning off the page file however is risky. In general it'll be safe, but IF you run into a situation where you would've needed it, you're fucked. There's absolutely no point in turning it off, other than adding a risk factor to your system.
As for your scores: I didn't even look at the image, but yes, they're fine. Stop benchmarking. Benchmarking even once shortens the lifespan of the damn thing more than a pagefile ever will. The actual scores are irrelevant, you won't notice the difference between 300 or 500 MB/s sequential reads. The only stat that could be remotely interesting are random reads, but even there with any SSD you run into bottlenecks in other places than the SSD.

Yeah, it makes me laugh to see people turning the page file off to save on drive life and then see them post test after test. Those tests push around a huge amount of data on the drive.

The only situation where I'd potentially turn the page file off is on a small SSD (<=60GB) in a system with lots of RAM (>=16GB); although I'd more likely still just shrink the pagefile to its minimum instead (as I did on my HTPC).
