Has anyone else seen this...It started around the time I loaded AVG virus scan, but why would they add this. Is there anyway to get rid of this problem.

Yea, isnt that one of the backgrounds behind wallpapers? Probably see it after it closes the wallpaper or whatever.

No it wasn't that but I did dump some startup programs, one being Radeon tweaker, so mabey it was a video test or something.cause its gone now.
Thanks for all the suggestions

looks a bit like a graphics check, monitor check or it could be actually your monitor setup coming up .. maybe the monitor is dead, dieing .. have you tried another monitor to see if its a monitor problem
I always do things backwards .. have to remember hardware first then soft .. |
aww man...is that the fuckin truth.
I once bought an ibm based pc...it was like 2.6 ghz, came with 128mb 9800pro, Gb Ram, a dvdr burner (prolly shitty, never used it). Anyway, got it home, set it up went out and bought...I think it was the All in Wonder 256mb, i know it was ati - anyway, it was an agp card right. I go home, open up the pc, foundd the slot and noticed its covered with like a black cap thing on it, i remove it thinking nothing of it. Then for days I had serious fuck ups with the computer etc etc and because I opened the case i voided the warranty and cause i took the cap of the motherboard slot. I found that interesting so I went on to the ibm site only to discover that i mobo didnt have agp support and it was cheap, basic pos...anyway, went to the store (thats what i get for shopping at futureshop....never again) and bitched the fuck outta the guy that sold it to me, sold it privately (pennysaver ) and only ended up losing basically 100 bucks, so it kinda worked out but fuck...
Now, like u said, I check the hardware first if the problem warrants it, then I go to the software and shit
Still, Ive learnt alot of more about computer hardware since that time, so next time I can afford to upgrade to like a 4ghz (im not upgrading till i see a 4ghz, 2gb ram system), im not gunna get fuckin hussled by some dude right off the banana boat
