Dont think so, we do it for work a lot. (more than one person on a call). Maybe my work account is premium.
But I know my son uses the crap out of his with him and his friends on the same skype call for gaming, and I know his is the basic one.

AH could be, never had a use for videochat myself. So never used it in group calls.

Yea, only reason I have it. Company makes us use it, since 99% of businesses we deal with have it to quick communicate with us vs e-mail.
And kids...holy hell I think every kids uses it. Running my old MC server, Skype names frantically being tossed out and asked to add and message them, like it was phone numbers at a bar at 2am closing time on a Saturday.
