Area 52 games.. they haven't done anything yet.
From what I could find on them it appears that they may be the remains of ~2005 developer called Secret Lair Studios. They were acquired by Sierra and later merged into Activision Blizzard and laid off.

They call themselves a team of industry veterans but that's pretty much all I can find on them.
I also can't seem to find a single game they made so that's not a good sign Razz

Well Disney did say they were going to focus on social and mobile games. Expect plenty more of this sort of thing. They are going to milk that $4 billion cash cow for every last drop.

Probably the more depressing part is that the job of producing the good Star Wars games has been left to....EA.

Sad

Yeah right, let the trash roll in Evil or Very Mad

Let´s be honest, did anyone really expect a proper tie fighter or x-wing "simulator"?

Wow what a pile of shit. As soon as I heard "lets players customize ships" I fucking closed the video as fast as I could... because yah, Star Wars universe is all about customized X-wings.

Absolute garbage.

And it's all for simple dogfights? AWFULLLLL. Where's the fun missions like a small squadron trying to take out a star destroyer?!

We want to thank all of the fans who participated in the closed beta of Star Wars: Attack Squadrons.

After much consideration, we have decided to cease development so that we can focus on other Star Wars game experiences.

We truly appreciate the time you spent engaging in the beta.

It's all fun now, but wait until Disney cancels Battlefront 3 as well. They've already shitcanned two SW games (that we know of!) one of them a high-profile title too, so yeah.. I'm not holding my breath for anything else.
