No, sorry, I meant file format, fuck knows why I wrote filesystem Laughing

It's just the easiest way for them to ensure it works on all systems, since that one's the same among all of them. They could write a custom MFT implementation, but that would once again most likely run into compatibility issues.

Finally, now you can stream on Twitch as promised: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/shadowplay-twitch-streaming

And here is what is coming next:

Quote:
This is the first beta release of this feature and we look forward to your feedback. Our next major milestone we're working towards is desktop capture for ShadowPlay, and enhanced microphone control.

Now allows you to manually set quality/resolution and framerate.

And set a custom cache directory, so no more SSD space issue during gaming (where as you had only a few gb free, it would fill up due to the cache of shadowplay being on C even if you didn't record).

Hmm.. after having installed the latest geforce experience version I can't activate shadowplay anymore.. When I first flipped the switch, I heard a sound, the screen flickered and then.. nothing. And the switch can't be turned on/off at all.

PS Da fuck!? I rebooted my PC and now GF experience has nothing related to shadowplay at all rofl

Also, if you are about to quit your PC, why would you to want to :

Reboot -> updates installed -> shutdown

instead of

Shutdown.
- next day / Boot -> updates installed

???

Speed of which updates are being updated on reboot are really negligible unless you just did brand new installation of windows and have about 50 to do.

Win8.1 updates are really sporadic. Last update for Win8 that required a reboot was like what 2-4 weeks ago? Once in a blue moon your computer takes extra 30 seconds to reboot, god world is going to end.

Since when? My Windows 7 install never had that option.

It's just not in the popout menu.

Ah well, I'm on W8.1 now, it ain't that bad. Just disable all Metro garbage and you are all set. There are several features that I really like, such as a much better task manager and file copier and a not shove-down-your-throat Windows Update notification ever 10 seconds Laughing Plus, you can now shut down your system without Windows installing the updates, you really need to reboot now. Much, much better. Oh, and it boots pretty much instantly Smile

+1

I'm using Win 8.1 since Win 8 came out and there is no way I'm going back to 7. Say whatever you like but this definitely feels a bit faster (especially in BF4).

haven't tried new shadowplay, but last one usually crashed after several hours of playing WoWP or WoT - screen flickered and then no more shadowplay, usually in sublime moments so I stopped it, will try again with newer version.

geforce experience has a massive memory leak bug.

I'm talking about nvstreamsvc service. After I installed 1.8.2 version I started getting OOM crashes in games. At first it happened when I was playing TESO, so I just thought it was a beta client bug, but then I played castlevania 2 demo and the game also crashed. So I started monitoring stuff , then checked system event logs and to my surprise I found the real culprit. It was fucking nvstreamsvc. It randomly consumes shitload of memory( even if you turn streaming service off in geforce experience settings), like 8-10 Gb. 0_0

I had to uninstall dat shit.
