It's been a while since I made a post on this forum but it's not because I don't love you guys Very Happy

Basically I no longer have spare time for things I used to love like gaming and shopping and sleeping til 2pm Laughing but this thread is to let you guys know that I'm not dead.

Much has changed since my last girl problem thread where that Gina girl broke up with me lol that was such a stupid time. I've dated a few girls over the past few months. I stayed friends with the ones I got along with (this one girl Lindsay actually took me back to her place, got high and then cried and dumped me)...lol it was good forum thread material but instead of bitching and crying about it I continued meeting new people. I actually stayed friends with this Lindsay girl, she's a cool chick despite the whole dumping issue. She was crying after she dumped me but I just told her its cool we are just 2 friends watching tv it's not a big deal. I learned to handle rejection pretty well over the pst few months.

I was also unemployed for months but was just enjoying all the free time and single life. I finally am in a healthy relationship with a girl named amanda. Our personalities click so well, it's crazy. We've been together for a little over 4 months now and I've never been happier and neither has she. Sexlife is the best it's ever been. She already knows every single detail about me and my life and vice versa and still no problems whatsoever. I am completely crazy about this girl and this may actually be the girl I marry somewhere down the line in a few years (something I have never truly considered before with any other girl I've dated or been with)...so yes guys in a few years I may create a thread about proposing lol

I also recently started a new full time job. The pay is pretty decent for a first real job related to my career goals. I decided earlier the year that I want to pursue IT. I'm currently a network admin for a Catholic college prep school and I'm working with VMware and DevonIT everyday so finally I can add something useful to my resume instead of "sales associate"

However now that I'm working 40 hours a week, my life has changed. No time or desire for gaming. After work I just hangout with the gf (something that I have always considered a chore with other girls but not this one, I actually love it). I also finally have a driving license now so seeing eachother is very easy. I sold my GTX780 last month since I don't game and have no desire to go out drinking or attend parties anymore. I now have some money to buy new computer parts, but what's the point? Is this what grown up life is supposed to be like? Before I had time and little money, now I have some money but no time..dafuq Laughing

Also this is why I barely visit the forum anymore. I feel like I barely have any time to browse the interwebs. Today I called in sick for work lol so this gave me some free time to write this posts while I wait for my gf to get out of work. Anyways just wanted to let y'all know I miss you niggas!!!! Very Happy

It's funny when you look back at the old threads, you realize that times change indeed Very Happy

I too tried to pursue this way of living a while back, but it just couldn't work. I had to go back to square one xD

Grats!
happy to hear things smoothed out for ya! really happy for you.

Now welcome to the world of 40 hour jobs, no sleep, no time to do anything you enjoy to get over the stress of making the money you have...Laughing
AND the world of IT, getting yelled at by 5 different people for the same thing 10 minutes apart when something goes down while the whole time your busy working on it. Very Happy

Haha thanks mates! Smile Im glad to hear everybody is still here and doing good!

Sorry for my delayed response.

Still no girl problems to report guys lol Im sorry to disappoint Very Happy Honestly I still have 0 complaints about the girl Ive been seeing (Amanda). I believe this Friday will be 8 months since we got into a relationship. I definitely still see myself possibly marrying this one hehe

The only update I have since I made this thread is that I changed jobs. Im currently working for a diamond company on 5th avenue in NYC and I see myself being here for at least the next 5+ years. Got my own office, getting paid wayy more than I ever made in my life, my boss is a really nice and cool guy, and the work is extremely laid back. I pretty much mastered VMware and Windows Server 2008 and 2012 at my last job before I left. Im currently learning SQL Server 2012 here for use with a diamond database program. Work really doesn't even feel like work anymore (which is something I never experienced before) so I have no desire to take sick days off. Another nice thing about this new job is they like to close the office early on Fridays because of religious reasons so I leave around 1pm. I believe Im now working approximately 35-36 hours a week but still getting my full contract salary Smile

The commute to work is also much better than my last job so this allows me some free time so I began gaming again last week. Got myself the GTX 780 Hydro Copper again lol and I started playing Crysis 3 Very Happy

I will definitely be around the forums more often over the next few months! I promise Very Happy Very Happy

Adult life is about buying these things... for your kids. So that they have what you couldn't have had. Wink
