gotta say the combat on foot sucks, it's the same shit i've played on AC2 (the last one i finished), but the ship combat is fun as hell.

Well from what little I got out of the first chapter of the game it remains essentially unchanged, you dual wield now but it doesn't seem to make any significant difference since it's still block, parry, counter and building up a sort of chain of attacks so that you quickly dispose of surrounding enemies.
From what I read on reviews and other peoples opinions on the game you already start out quite capable and powerful this time, which seems correct since you will have little problems with most of the enemies in that first area of the game.
(Health appears to regenerate quickly too.)
Ship combat has been tweaked a bit although it works fairly similar to the third game though it has a much bigger role in the game now.

I do, but I don't get the key until next week from the looks of it so I can't do anything at the moment.
(Monday I think since the game launches on Tuesday in the US if I remember correctly.)
I was hoping to have had it today or tomorrow and use with this version of the game until I can download the EU edition or what it might be called but that won't happen.
(Probably it'll just be the "Digital" version, same as with Assassins Creed 3)

I should have bought that 1.5 Dollar thing for Watch Dogs and this when UPlay had that glitch but I was so certain that the keys would be revoked or the purchase made invalid for say technical reasons or something so I avoided it, seems they'll actually honor it now as I understood it.
(Which is nice, although very surprising.)

Yeah, there's still every chance they'll cancel between release - but they've taken the money from my account (49kr per game) so I'm kinda hopeful, especially when they said they'll honour sales \o/

uplay,,, origin store... wtf is all this shit. I don't want my games in all those terrible places.
I want steam or gog. Everything else prevents me from buying the game.
Even if I wanted to buy it , I wouldnt ebcause of shitplay or origin

Well isn't it just dandy - you can edit Assassin4.ini to make refresh rate be 85Ghz... except it just a number in the menu, when you launch the game it always 60Hrz (just like FPS cap). Fantastic.

For UPlay the game shows up on the day of release, you can use a VPN to make it appear earlier if the unlock time varies from region to region but I am pretty sure it will disappear again when you disconnect the VPN.

Interesting. The game is out in china?
So theoretically, if i VPN to china, unlock game, and then block uplay in firewall or go to offlinemode, i should have the game unlocked?

You don't need VPN in this case, just grab any china proxy out there and use it in uPlay's connect settings.

what's so special about China so that they get it unlocked much earlier than everyone else?

Also, what's up with suddenly disappearing little critters (crabs and crows) into the thin air? They do not even manage to fly/run far away, they just... poop and disappear. Lel.
And weather change within less than second, without any transition? What? Why?

Crashes because you either beefed with the data and put something incorrect or proxy is very ded.
Setting are there:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\
