So it'll be Star Wars vs the 3rd Hobbit movie.
Kind of a strange decision by Disney, I think. After the fiasco of the Lone Ranger you'd think they'd want to get as much money out of this as possible. I guess there's no financial crisis in Hollywood Razz

The third Hobbit movie releases in 2014. It's actually Warcraft vs Star Wars for 2015, though I have a feeling one of them is getting delayed, guess which one Laughing

You're right, for some reason I didn't realise 2015 is still 2 years away.

I wasn't talking about us in particular, but for some people going to the movies is either expensive (especially in IMAX or 3D) or a long drive from their house, or both. It's the same reasoning why Watch Dogs was (allegedly) delayed because of GTA5's release.

Maybe it's different for movies than for games, I don't know.. Philosopheraptor

As expected, Disney is completely axing everything from the EU. While it is a great move to remove the overabundant heaps of crap that is the majority of the EU, some really great stuff also goes, like the Thrawn series.

Can't say I'm all that surprised.

The first ones are all great; Thrawn series, Jedi academy series, I even liked the Corellian series (with Han & Leia's kids).

Yeah there are alot of good books in the EU. But i think they are doing the right thing in not counting them as canon. Doesn't take anything away from those books for me. Just think of it as AU instead.
