Wally Pfister has been the director of photography of Christopher Nolan for most of his movies, including the Dark Knight trilogy, Memento and Inception. Cast seems very good.

It did nothing for me. Interstellar's teaser which was similar (a speech) was much better.

I won't say that this one didn't leave me mildly interested but I agree that the speech from interstellar trailer had huge impact, much more so than this one.
It was also much better delivered IMO (so emoshiunal ).

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things donโt always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things donโt always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
^ This looks.. um.. idk.. I am confused. Idk if I liked it or not
Some parts looked "ooooh, this is going to be good! " and in other parts I was like "I see they are copying the plot from cheap straight-to-video thrillers "
So I am not very hopeful. I fear it will end up being a less smart copy of high concept movies such as The Matrix and Inception.

well the third one made me think a lot. Questions like how the fuck did they manage to fuck up the franchise like this. Did they really made neo jesus? I know it had a lot of religious undertones in the overall story, but did they have to be so blatant about it near the end? Et Cetera, Et Cetera, Et Cetera.
however, to remain on topic. this movie does not look smart. it looks like it tries to be smart. especially with the anti-technology terrorists called the rift. Or how to save a brilliant man they have to save all of his memories onto a digital drive!!!!!!!! It really seems like something written for sy-fy. It's going to suck. Who's the DOP on this?
I define "smart" as "made me think". Inception made me think a lot more than Matrix. That was a dumb movie then.
That's how I define smart as well. And that's why I consider both to be smart movies. And that's also why The Matrix is the smarter of the two. IMOOOOOOOO obviously.

Nolan didnt use the ideas of dreams and its possibilities to tell something worthwhile. no. instead he opted for an action movie set in a myriad of locations. this annoyed me the most.
smart? it was fuckin dumb. a poorly made action movie. when they fought in that snow camp taken from a 70s Roger Moore Bond movie...was enough for me. so bad.
oh were in a dream. oh were not. got fuckin lame after the first 30 minutes. and that spinning shit at the end?! lol. worst cliffhanger ever.
loved Marion C. shes awesome in anything though.

I found the trailer interesting, although not quite what I expected. Somehow I imagined a "less hollywodian" approach but it still can turn out to be good, great even for all I know. My only complaint is that these 2 minutes and a half showed a lil' bit too much. I blame trailers these days :<

its 2 min and 30 sec. why did u watch it?! then after seeing the movie..and of course watching all the sneek peeks and clips before release...complain about the fact that u already knew everything.
