With the 720p/1080p options greyed out (Chrome here). I even reinstalled the browser twice..tried different versions but nothing, well turns out I had to uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Flash manually. 
Now everything seems to be fine..until the next problem! xD |
Glad you're finally joining us. Yes, many people have these. And no, re-installing flash had nothing to do with it. You were just lucky. That shit comes and goes as it pleases. |
Aw and I thought I had found the resolution to all the problems!  It instantly worked for me so I imagined it was strictly related to the issue. Maybe Paintface is right, but still, it's very annoying indeed since YT has been forcing me to watch videos in 240p for two days..I went back to 2004  |

Doesn't Chrome have flash embedded ? Does reinstalling flash actually make any difference for Chrome ?

Fuck the youtube comment section. I've had about 5 minutes to look at it and decided I didn't like it. Not that it's wise to read it in the first place, but it seems that I won't be able to do so normally anyway anymore. So yay, I guess.

It's peculiar that they've restricted the streaming speed of lesser quality videos. Most of the time HD streams much much faster than using, say, 480p.

They just went full-retard.  I can't think of one recent change that I really liked. First the layout, then the buttons, then the streaming, not a single one that I said "oh, look, it's improved". Damn you Youtooble+

One I was really surprised to see go downhill is the search function of Youtube. I mean, it used to be crap (poor results, didn't show all the videos, didn't recognize half the characters etc.) but I find it even worse with Google running the show.
Dangit Google you only had one job!

Have any of your videos been deleted in the playlist? I had an issue the other day where my YT playlist wouldn't advance, it would go back but it simply wouldn't advance no matter what I did. Turns out the next "item" in the playlist had actually been deleted so YT just froze on it.

No, they all play fine if I select them separately. There are not even country related restrictions on them. Let's say, I start with song 1 and it plays the list just fine till song 5, then skips to song 1. If I then select song 5 again it will play the next song in the list fine again, until it decides to jump to song 1 again instead of playing the next song.
