well, when firefox loads a page here, there is a lag of sometimes over a second, that freezes the page until it has been properly formatted (borders of forum to borders of firefox and text inside).

Could we get remote store of the users blocked tho if we wanted? Like it automatically uploads and downloads from a custom ftp location or so?

On Chrome, the script runs only when the page has finished loading the DOM has been fully loaded and rendered. This creates an effect of flashing/flickering. Should run a lot sooner and listen to DOM events to catch "offending" DOM elements, like, for example, AdBlock.

I used the standard chrome extension options for this... it was my first chrome and firefox extension, I don't even know what they offer in that regard. Sure, I can do that though
@sausje: now that I have access to my webserver again, I could write a scriptlet that would return your ignored users... still have to think about authentication.. I mean, you should only see your own ignored users and not if leo ignores you

Hey Leo, do you perhaps have a code snippet for this? I tried a lot, basically told my script to "run_at" : "document_start" and added a mutationobserver that observed the document, but sadly that did never fire! what am I doing wrong, any idea?
Maybe you Garus?

I am not sure, but how does AdBlock manage to do it seamlessly? I battled with this shit also back with my extension, and ended up with something that was tolerable (to me, in my script, what drove me crazy was the switch of the logo from normal to humping one, and with my initial extension it would flicker) but later it was OK and I remember it worked fine. That was long time ago and I don't remember what I did. If someone has the my old Chrome extension, please take a look or post for Pumpy.

So there is a depracated event which seems to be useful but I'd have to listen on the doc root and then the children and .. meh, too much work... Especially when you are at work and supposed to be productive
I already have some improvements by switching to run_at document_end which directly inserts my code after the dom has been loaded, which is still worse than adblock, but better than idle, which triggers some time after the dom is done and before the images are done loading.
If I find some time today I'll give it a shot

I suddenly have this issue with FF24, where the expanded emoticon section first loads as it should, but then switches back to the old (short) view after a second or two. If I enable the Humpinator emoticon list it does the same, except it switches to the add-on version instead of the old one.
Has something changed? Doesn't look like it's because of the add-on. That forums own expanded list seems to be glitching out on me.

Another bug Pumpy, if you manage the ignore list, but press cancel, it deleted ALL ignores and refills it with "null"...
Just lost my whole list -.-'
Seriously need an online backup tbh..
