i used various nvida gpus on various hdtvs and never had a problem, so i don't think you need "luck" to make it work. the only thing that's annoying is getting full RGB to work over hdmi and i can't fathom why nvidia doesn't add proper toggler for that, instead we have to resort to registry and .ini editing.

Also, I notced that in "Viev HDCP status" in the NV panel it says my TV does not support HDCP. The fuck? It's 3 yo TV, it MUST have it.

Worked with no problems on ATI, ofc Very Happy Any solutions guys?

What TV do you have? I have 2 HDTV's and each one has the option to enable/disable overscan. You sure yours doesn't? It's strange actually.

I quickly looked into it and there seems to be a problem with forced overscan in these. Well, at least that's what the first links Google finds say.

The only idea I have in mind is that you can try setting Aspect Ratio to Original, but you've probably done that.

The second issue very much related to nvidia drivers is that I couldn't help but make the sky in your avatar stand still. Razz

You can choose one if you like, or you can skip if you don't. I won't mind. Wink

lol thanks, that was actually annoying me as well Razz
Can't see the difference between the three, altho that might be because i'm rather sleepy atm Razz

Hover about the TV, i just found out that my actual digital decoder for HDTV is overscanning aswell.
I did find 1 option to move the image, but that was just to the left or right and up and down, but that's it Sad

Leftmost one - brightness and colours unaltered, the middle one - balanced out, rightmost one - luma and chroma altered the most to increase contrast and change colours a bit.

Regarding the TV, the very first link I found says you can access Service Menu and try your luck there. The guy on this forums, however, wasn't able to fix it. Sad

Quote:
i access the service menu bit hitting the menu key on both the rc and tv for a few seconds, the overscan setting is on system control sub menu, but since i don't have a manual i don't know if i have to change any other setting, i only dare to change the overscan (0-2) = (1%-7%), with no effect.

Yeah got into the menu, but it's a rather confusing one.
I messed around with stuff, but only a few options seem to do something (i say something because the screen quickly shows that something is being done, but i can't actually see any changes).

Here is the menu with all sub sections:

^ Well, that looks rather complicated.

Is there any overscan setting in System Control sub-menu?

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't click the links at first, just took a quick look at the thumbnails.

EDIT2: If OverScan option doesn't do anything, I have no idea what else can be done. Sad

Doesn't do anything at all, has 3 settings 1% 5% and 7% but swapping doesn't make any change..

Stupid that you CAN scale the screen when it's connected to the PC (VGA) port. (At least according to the manual) Neutral

Windows will just reinstall drivers after the reboot. Just click custom and fresh install when installing the drivers. Or use Driver Sweeper.

The only downside to "fresh install" is that you lose all your custom profiles, so anything you went in with Inspector and fixed for SLi or Anti-aliasing; gone, poof, have to redo them Sad Any games that don't natively support vsync and you had to set it manually? Gone too. Sometimes fresh is TOO fresh Sad

I used to do this 'fresh' and 'clean' installs some time ago. Now I just unpack the drivers and install them from the the Device Manager. Everything works perfectly fine and I haven't run into any problems thus far.

SLi profile for a game that hasn't even got a release date except "2014", but still nothing for Shadow Warrior? Very Happy Oh well, at least the Hard Reset profile works and there's a new one for State of Decay now too.

Yeah, I know bud Smile I posted the SLi bits and steps in the SW thread, within minutes of the game coming out, using the Hard Reset settings, DSO reposted it on their site Very Happy I just set the SLi bits in the pre-existing SW profile, so it's not tied to anything else.

Thanks! Will them out.

I wonder if there are any performance improvements for Shadow Warrior

Most likely not, but it's still worth giving a shot. Smile

Didn't have a chance to check since I'm still at work. How is it improved exactly? In that it gives you more options via the CP (it's normally controlled by the in-game options for whatever game, no?) Or improved in terms of performance?

As I understand it, HBAO has been replaced with HBAO+

Thanks, looks nice. I'm assuming the performance cost if up there for HBAO+. Not even sure if I have it enabled in my CP at the moment...

I haven't read anything, but a quick peek at this chart says it's indeed slower than regular HBAO.

Here's the full article: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/hbao-plus/technology

As for the CP AO itslef, I used to enable it sometimes in the past but it literally makes my eyes ache, so I generally stay away from it.
