One of my favorite fps games. Only negative was that the setting was kind of bland/repetitive, but I really didn't care much since the game was so fun to play. Good atmosphere with the debris and a dynamic shadow system that, to my memory, was pretty impressive for the time.

Didn't like the sequels much, though.

Already a beloved classic. Very superior to its successors.

Oh! I forgot to add that it's one of the very few games that I've played completely twice Smile

Others in that select group are Half-Life (played three times) and The Witcher 2 (played twice and a half). Coincidentally, Quake 4 is there too, though I admit that was a very short game Razz

Loved that game Smile

First in SP but then the MP went free and it was a blast in MP also.

Well, unlike you, I don't automatically hate 99% of the games released every year. So I don't need to replay the same games over and over to fill muy leasure time Razz

F.E.A.R. still holds the distinction of having the best A.I. in a single player shooter to date. They'd slide under tables, flank, coordinate - it actually felt real (even though it was just some very convincing scripting). Absolutely no progress has been made on that front in, what's it been, 8 years? That says quite a bit about the state we're in now'a'days.
