Just beat the game. It was good, but not great. Mainly because the problems I had with SR3 weren't completely fixed.

Activities are still part of the main mission line, and side quests are all just activities repeated again and again. Only this time instead of doing one per mission, you have to do a 3-5.
The good thing however is that there are more scripted, story focused missions. Instead of just a couple.
I finished it in around 11hours. Just 1 hour more than my first playthrough of SR3. Not sure if I feel my money was worth it.
Dude are you speed running all the games you play? It took me around 25-27 hours to finish SR3 and I was forcing myself to do it asap because the game was getting a little bit too long.
I think I spent 30 hours on finishing SR3. Just driving around, exploring, and shooting people is fun. These games should not be played by constantly going from one mission to another, the game is too fun for that.

Anyway, I wouldn't say I'm speed running it. I just like to get the story out of the way first. I used to like to mess around in open world games a lot (GTA vice city, SA,etc) in between missions. But maybe I got older and now I like to play story missions more than just roaming around. So obviously the length of the game various greater because of that. I still did a lot of roaming and ended up never beating Just Cause2. However SR3 & 4 didn't made me want to do it.

the game is fucking hilarious, only a few hours in, but I'm having a lot of fun. The performance could be a bit better though, SLI scaling is for shit right now.

The Bureau got kicked out in the open in a swift despite having the dreadful CEG. IV probably has an additional protection layer complicating things a bit more.
