Well, that's his real name Very Happy but yeah, obviously it's just a publicity stunt for the movie or something.

I didn't really enjoy Machete, but I loved Planet Terror.

It was a decent flick, but the scene with Trejo sitting in the pool with naked ladies was Laughing

Publicity stunt? It's a parody of the exploitation films of the 70s. The did the same thing with "and introducing Don Johnson" in the original. Laughing

Have you watched the source materials parodied? They always had to have a nude scene. It was awkward on purpose.

How so? "Using your hispanic name" doesn't make me think of 70's movies in any way.

Btw, the whole movie was awkward on purpose Razz

No, the "introducing" part. Using his real name was just funnier. Laughing

Funny, for me it was exactly the other way around. Planet Terror looks too expensive for me, I feel like watching a bad A-movie instead of a good B-movie.
Machete however, I found more enjoyable than Planet Terror and Death Proof.
