I live in San Antonio, Texas..probably the best city I have lived in within the US. People are incredibly polite, welcoming, not bounty hunters. They do have texan in them, love recreational shooting sports, being fat, et cetra. A good example I love to give is that I went into the DMV (Division of Motor Vehicles, notorious for being terrible in the USA), talked to the teller for a while about me being new to texas and she waived the fees for my license change just telling me, "No problem, Welcome to Texas just pay it forward!". I've heard that several times from people in SA-Texas..I love it here, I was/am blown away by the broken stereotypes on almost a weekly basis.

Was in san antonio a couple of years ago. It looked pretty with the bridges downtown. Heard they moved a whole building during the making of the river.

Wouldn't surprise me, they put a shit-ton of money/effort into the river. Enjoy Austin man, it's the weird city. Make sure to hit 6th street and barhop
