Just giving everyone some BASIC knowledge of geography.
America is the entire continent, divided into NORTH AMERICA (consisting of Canada, Mexico, Honduras, USA, etc.) and SOUTH AMERICA (consisting of Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, etc.).
ONE country of "The Americas" celebrates 4:th of the July. ONE COUNTRY. It does not have the most citizens by a long shot on the continent of America. But because it used to be the biggest economic power in the world (now it's in such serious debt that it's not even funny) and because there are a lot of white people there, somehow it has been representing THE ENTIRE CONTINENT, AMERICA.
So... America, you're celebrating your independence. What have you, REALLY, been doing with it the past 50 or so years? And are THOSE ACTIONS really worth celebrating?

I think some other BASIC knowledge is worth giving out. Within "The United States of" America there are ~313M human begins, probably roughly 1-5% of these americans make their living within the despised political sector that the world so despises and maybe another 1-5% in the super-wealthy that reaches that same villainy.
What "AMERICA" has been doing over the past year is doing what we always do, we've lived on, dealt with our shithouse country and government. We went to our jobs, exercised our freedoms as much as possible (I hope) and look for a glimmering of enjoyment in days such as the 4th of July so that we can get fucked up, go on holiday and watch some beautiful fireworks before returning to our jobs the next day, much as the rest of the world celebrates their holidays I would imagine.
In short/TL:DR - We're more than the squiggly shape on the map that you don't like.

A lot of white people? Were quickly becoming a minority here (in some states at least). Also, I don't see what color has to do with Independence Day really besides red, white, and blue, in the literal sense
I don't understand all the hate really. Yes we are idiots that try to be bigger than we are. A lot of companies or other large organizations have done the same thing and have fallen. I'm sure we will to. Its a matter of becoming to big for their britches, so to speak.
Sure I'd rather not see it but hell, people are just too dumb here (in the US) for it not to happen.

72.4% "americans" are white caucasian. Don't worry about the non-whites, they have lower wages and usually aren't allowed to vote. I'm sure you can find a way to send them to the middle-east and have them "defend your country".

Street Riots? Protests? You mean the Occupy Movements and Protect the Fourth? Or would you rather us take up arms and start going all Libya and get a nice little rebel faction that grows out of control?

While yes I do see your point that we do democratically vote these people in, that arguement is extremely niave looking at the level of control that is placed on that procedure. Super-Delegates, Super-PACs, Super-Man, Super-Corporations.
I do personally wish there was a better way for us to make a change, but it simply doesn't exist yet. Look at Egypt, they've overthrown their second dictator, with a city is shambles and completely collapsed where the majority of the world simply shrugs at this point at them. What solution would you place forward for American revolution? The mere mention of "Street Riots" as a solution is simply childish. Hell Americans cannot even Protest properly, maybe it's that we havn't been scrabbling in the dirt for a while and need to get back into it. The Occupy movements form into little cities with the better off people taking charge and leading things while they put the poor people in the ghettos of even a shitty protest movement.
Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Do I care if you bash our government? Nah not really. Do you have any REAL reason to hate Americans? None at all, you're conditioned to do so, and it comes through clearly with your veiled racism.
