Wow. I always had a decent idea of what HDR really was, but never had a context to see it in. This really does look like it fixes many of the limitations on the representation of the game worlds.

All those shots look pretty, though not realistic at all. However, I'll wait until I actually play it and then I will judge it

In the future, yes. Not right now. I believe this will happen in the near future as if once they make for Lost Coast and DOD:S they will want to implement it to the other games as well.

I agree that it doesn't quite look realisitic in every shot, but when its toned down some in some of the screenshots, and not used too much, it looks more realisitic than without it, thats for sure.

Man I'm gona have a hard time playing this tech demo...I'm certainly not going to upgrade just for one level...althought my 9700 pro is starting to fade out. In the next 4 months I'll have to decide upgrade video card or Xbox 360 mmmm. ah hell both hehe.

Honestly why upgrade my PC, I mean how many great games come out like HL2...All the focus is on the consoles like never before!

Yeah until you have to upgrade your console. With all the new extensions coming to the consoles like an optional hard drive(lool "optional") the console will lose the bigest advantage that they have:"no need to upgrade".
I don't think that the PC game industry will go down anytime soon at least not while big companies like NVIDIA and ATI make millions out of selling top of the line "game busters".Besides visual benchmarking will always be the PC decisive weapon. And let's face it,even the new gen console specs will be absolete in the coming months after they hit the market.Until then I'm waiting for better and better games and instead of focusing on hardware power, game producers should focus their atention software side.
