I hate it when I meet people in person, and agree to hang out later, or do some activity together, but when I follow up a few days later over phone/internet "suddenly" they are preoccupied and can't attend.. 
Happens way too often.
I'm very good at making people agree with me in person, but seems I can't make them keep their word after that.

Not really. I'm a very cheerful and bright person. I don't even know how to be intimidating.
I always try to keep people happy and friendly.
And I'm talking about hanging together, going to the cinema, going on a trip.. and the people I arrange these get all enthusiastic and energetic. And then suddenly they're too busy..

So in person you agree to and exact time and place, and when the time comes they can't go?
Or do you just talk how fun it would be to do something and then when you ask them to actually do it they don't want to?

We agree on a date period like next weekend, next week, the beginning of the month.
I never go for a specific date, because I don't know what I'll do tomorrow, and don't expect other people too. That's why I prefer a loose period of 2-5 days and schedule a follow up call like 2-3 days before the agreed period. And suddenly their whole 5 days period became full.
Which I find complete bullshit. I can always schedule an event/meeting of 2-3h for tomorrow, or in completely wild week for the day after tomorrow. I feel like either these people just speak lightly and then forget, or I'm not that much important to them. But then why do they always set up these meetings in the first place?
Maybe I should try a specific date, might be more encouraging, but don't expect much.

Nb. I am not saying you are a cunt, I am just expressing one of the many possibility's, when you consider someone likes you at first (or atleast appears to) and then actively trys to avoid you later.
Maybe you are like a moldy bacon sandwich, it tastes soooo good early on, but after a day or so it loses its appeal.

Happens to everyone. People get busy, or fucking tired from working all day with idiots. (like me, I back outta plans all the time now) Don't take it personal.
Ohh words of advice. Don't tell the same stupid story again and again, and AGAIN. That makes me not want to pick up the phone when they call.

Ive learned that people need a lot of space, a LOT, so usually someone new on your life can suffer to a lot of wrong judgements about the person who is busy/tired. Good thing im pretty easy going and i rarely focus too much on a person. Seems to keep it balanced and moving smoothly.
